"I found Jesus"

Would love to know where he's been hiding for the last 2000 years.

"Ironically like the nativist far-Right, which despises multiculturalism, but benefits from its ideas of difference to scapegoat the other and to promote its own white identity politics; these postmodernists, leftists, feminists and liberals also use multiculturalism, to side with the oppressor, by demanding respect and tolerance for oppression characterised as 'difference', no matter how intolerable."

Thanks for all the kind words

@Sal it is very much like a drug, and a really addictive one at that, so much that even when it gives you vad trips you still take it. I wouldn't dare to say I'm off for good, but being here is bound to keep me away

And George is the best!

He ran away after his faked death and lives on a farm in South America to this very day

Thank you for sharing your story my friend. That's a brave thing to do. I think things are almost always better once you get them out of your head and into a discussion.

Very sorry you had to go through that crap. I too think of religion as an addictive drug. Indoctrination is basically like giving heroin to kids to get them hooked, so that they then "need" it. If you never forced it in them in the first place, they wouldn't need it at all.

You did a brave thing by stopping and evaluating yourself and your thoughts. I can't imagine how hard it must be to address beliefs so deeply ingrained. I hope that with time the after effects will fade, that seems to generally be the case with de-conversions.

Keep on blaspheming my friend! Smile

Do unto others what has been done to you... it's a vicious circle. First you tell them they're sick and then sell the medicine

Thanks for the support

It's Ray Cumfart's parachute parable again: you're on a burning aeroplane that's moments away from crashing and there's only one parachute. You turn down offers of a million dollars, the Mona Lisa and a blowjob (actually I added that bit) because the parachute is now the most valuable thing in the Universe. You can fill in the "God" connection yourself.

But if you take a moment to look around, you'll see that there's no parachute and the aircraft isn't on fire anyway. The scenario was made up with the sole purpose of selling you the solution.

Welcome aboard, btw. I hope you enjoy your flight with us.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

I'm still trying to get it into my head that I'm jumping at shadows and that there isn't anyone eavesdropping on the thoughts in my head, but it's gonna take a while... I'm starting to notice the comforting absence of fire on the aircraft, though

Thanks, Stims. I get travel sick, so pass the plastic bags

Jesus is right here my children.

Jesus "H" Christ that is.

Jesus will never leave you, unless Game of Thrones is on. Then, sadly, you are on your own.
