I hadn't actually thought of this. Makes sense though. I'm decidedly pro-gun, but when it comes to fuckups like american cops they shouldn't even have pocketknives.

Yeah, where are the stories about mail carriers shooting dogs because thy were scared of being bitten? It's bullshit.

Mail carriers and pizza delivery dude(tte)s don't have the us vs. them mentality that seems pervasive in law enforcement.

Maybe because thy know where their money comes from. Apparently cops think police chiefs run a private business, and they don't get their money from the public's tax dollars.

They have tried to get such laws enacted but the Supreme Court has smacked them down.
