Would you rather be overestimated or underestimated?

RE: Would you rather be overestimated or underestimated?
Probably underestimated. It's better to exceed expectations than to be badgered into working harder than I want to.

overestimated

many a fool has failed to note my intractable stubbornness and my eagerness to make sure they never forget about it ever again

Fortunately, I am usually right about things, so if you're on a board, project or committee with me, it's best to just go along with whatever I want, cuz that's how it's going to turn out anyhow, and that way you don't find out about all the ways I have of making you miserable in your defiance.

Ask Marty, ask Werner, they'll tell ya.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

I've been underestimated quite a bit in my life. I've become adept at using it to my advantage, professionally and personally as well. The upside of people not knowing precisely what and how much you know is that they never see it coming.

The shock and confusion on their faces when they find out just who you and what you're capable of, is indeed priceless.

Underestimated, like Scotty. That way everyone is pleasantly surprised when I fix the warp core make dinner or get my housework done in record time.

Underestimated. I'd hate to disappoint people if I could not live up to their expectations of me.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

I honestly read this as "overstimulated or understimulated". I was about to give a sadly accurate but erroneous answer.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Tell me more, and please meet or exceed my expectations.

Only that I have to make do with the latter, while fantasising about someone treating me to the former until I disintegrate.
