Would you vote for a Roman Catholic?

RE: Would you vote for a Roman Catholic?
I've only voted for Christians for president. Not that it thrills me, but that's what we get. Religion should never, ever have anything to do with why anyone votes for a president.

If your referring to his whoremongering I agree with you.

He apparently fornicated with Marilyn monroe, and consorted with two young strumpets named "Fiddle" and "Faddle" in white house swimming pool! Huh
Fornicated? Consorted? STRUMPETS?

What are you, 105?

I know you people go on and on about the dangers of mixing church and state.

Well, if you had a Roman Catholic as president, not only would you have a religious president, but you would have one who is beholden to a foreign power, that of the Pope and the Vatican. There a lot of wonky religions out there, but few require their adherents to pledge alleigance to some man on a marble chair, an allegiance that should supersede allegiance to the red white and blue.

I think it shows Biden's wisdom and prudence that he decided not to run for president. He may not have wanted to compromise his patriotism.

Although that could be  because Mrs. Bubba is too formidable of a candidate for anyone to beat.

I fear that electing JFK as president set a terrible precedent.

Thoughts? Opinions?

I'd like to know why you think JFK sets a terrible precedent.

Curiously, I'd have trouble voting for a Mormon considered by the LDS hierarchy to be a member in good standing.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

I would to. Mormons are nearly as bad as Catholics.

It's clear JFK's many lady friends were just confused or misguided.

Perhaps they didn't have the benefit of attending reform school when younger, and maybe having to spin wool or do laundry as penance for sins of flesh, or as a means of preventing such future sins.

Personally, I believe if sex is done by a couple for any other reason than a (reluctant) acceptance of the task of conceiving children, it is morally wrong. We live in a contraceptive culture.

Reluctant acceptace? Are you saying it's wrong for a married couple to enjoy sex? No wonder you're so hung up on JFK's sex life, instead of talking about any bad policies he might have.

This is why I'd rather not have religious people in office. It gives them strange priorities.

There are a good number of stories and songs told and sang about people cheating on their spouse just because of sex. This is the problem when you get into a lifelong contract with someone without making sure you're sexually compatible. Repressing sexuallity makes it come out in bad ways.
