Anyways, I'm not against anyone drinking at all. Was your post directed at me? I dunno who it was directed at O_o

Sorry, like, I'm not meaning to be petty I just wanna be clear that I'm very liberal minded and I'm not against others drinking at all. It's their personal choice.

And I drink myself, that would make me a hypocrite!!

You can just express what you want for me and I can reject or accept.

I wish for you a purposeful life, a beautiful death,
and a peace of heart that surpasses you minds comprehension.

I wish for you love, both received and expressed,
so that you may be loved and be love.

I wish for you an inheritance of your Self,
more glorious and grander than you ever dared imagine.

I wish for you an inner joyful satisfaction,
that would propel you into eternity.

Beautiful.

Tell me about "an inheritance of your Self", though, I don't get that... that just sounds like hocus-pocus woo.

I took the "eternity" part to be merely poetic too.

The Self is the total operational vehicle of consciousness vs the little self that is the locus of awareness that can get trapped in the various internal organs of the vehicle. The "normal" state of entrained awareness is like winding serpentine line of linear thought/feeling trains that wind around in internal space. This would also be described as "monkey mind". The awareness of the self is caught up in internal monologue usually driven by subconscious emotion.

The "inheritance of Self" is the ability to retain dominion over the internal processed and information contained, as a whole space of several fields of simultaneous awareness. The ability to observe thoughts and emotions rise and fall and remain unperturbed...no matter what the world throws at you.

The actual experience of this nested field nature of the Self (total mind) range from the expansive eureka moments of deep comtemplaters to "The Zone" of dedicated athletes and well beyond.

It's a great relief from the "normal" (entrained) experience of self.

I've never been too interested in "What do you want for me?"

I tend to travel by my own lights, whether my interlocutor is compassionate or not, because even the compassionate are subject to bias and internal motive.

I'm happy to listen to those I love, and take their guidance, but that's a small, small subset of the people in my life. And even then I examine their wants in light of what I think is best for myself.

Takes at least 10 to be mildly drunk in my case. 15 to really mean business. Stretched over a whole day, of course. The shorter the timespan, the lower the count.

Lightweight.
