+1
Definitely don't "stay home" on election day even if you say "screw it" to the presidential candidates.
I said eff it to the 2004 presidential election after the debacle in 2000 but I still voted on election day in the other contests.

This year, I will also be voting for members of Congress, state senators, my local parks and recreation district and water district, not to mention 17 state propositions including whether to legalize recreational marijuana and whether porn actors should have to use condoms (that's a real one, folks Dodgy ).

So, vote!

And what of followership? The willingness to suborn one's own goals to the greater good is part of teamwork too, and yet we have a Congress that refuses to consider Supreme Court nominees in defiance of their own appointed duty, because they are more concerned with the next election than the next generation.

Play it safe, CYA, toe the party line -- those infections afflict not only Presidential candidates, but legislators as well.

Our nation is a case-study in the troubles brought on by refusal to compromise, or a refusal to accept a derogated role. "Too many chefs spoil the broth", right?

Leadership requires followership, and vice-versa. That is teamwork: knowing your place on the team, and doing your best at your job. Sadly, we Americans seem to be lacking on both counts.

Joe Exotic is the lesser of two evils.  Just look a how he tells it like it is.

There's that, but scrapping isn't the whole story. Hockey is a much faster game. TV doesn't do it justice. The way to experience hockey is to attend a game in person, preferably right behind the glass. I love it but stopped really following it all those years ago when the North Stars folded up the tent and moved to Dallas. I haven't given two shits about the NHL since, though I will watch the Stanley Cup games with the same detached interest I bring to the World Series or the NBA finals.
