I posed a question for these flag loving Trumpsters and they did not like it

Is wooter fucking arguing that sports are not political or they have not always been used to push divisive politics . Let's be honest it's who's politics that was brought onto the field the right have a problem with.

For me, its just that sports are about fierce rivalries and competition and that sportsmanship is about recognizing we are united by things more important than team loyalty. I may a be a Bears fan and you may be a Packers fan but at the end of the day we're both united in our love of the game. Playing the national anthem was a great ritual that reminded everyone that through it all, in the grand scheme, there are still things that can unite us, reminding us that we're actually all on the same team, America, united by our love for this country. But no, some players had to bring politics into the stadium. They couldn't leave it at the gate. For some of us, sport is a way to forget about the outside world for a little while. They have taken that away from me. Now all the fun is gone.

I find all nationalistic displays rather funny and don't participate, this gets a bit frowned on at Navy command but there you go.

Trump is working on having military parades like the Russians and North Koreans.  He thinks that they are the in thing.

With all this National Anthem khoas and people getting upset because someone is kneeling I brought something up to these people. What I brought up was the following: What if it was against my religion to idol worship? In a way to some standing for a piece of cloth is considered idol worship so what if that person wanted to kneel in the name of their religious beliefs?

Then they have a reason directly related to the flag/anthem itself, unlike people protesting police brutality. So, it makes a lot more sense.
