Share your protocol for having a cold

RE: Share your protocol for having a cold
Mucinex is Guaifenesein, an expectorant.

Rubitussin is Dextormethorphan, a suppresent.

They are 2 different drugs.

Now, Mucinex DM has Dextormethorphan added to it. And Rubitussin DM has Guaifenesin added to it. So Mucinex DM and Rubitussin DM are the same thing. But Mucinex and Rubitussin are not.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Go to the pharmacy/ grocery store. Look at plain old Robitussin and plain old Mucinex. Active ingredient will read Guaifenesin.

Hmm, that's weird, the first one that pops up on the Rubitussin site is Dextormethorphan: https://www.robitussin.com/products/12-h...ugh-relief

Either way, when I said I use Tessalon instead of Rubitussin, it was for supressing cough, so I was referring to the cough suppressant Rubi, which I guess isn't the basic Rubi. Cough suppressant Rubi hasn't worked for me.

Um, Chimpy, I went to Robitussin's website and looked over every single product in the Robitussin brand. They have a "Show Labeling" feature that shows all the labels of the products they have. A lot of the products have both, but of all the products that have only one of the two, it's always Dextromethorphan. Case in point.

And, of course, Tylenol Cold and Flu Severe has both, with acetaminophen and phenylephrine (even though most of them are in smaller quantities than usual).

RE: Share your protocol for having a cold
Coming into this thread late, but my protocol for having a cold?

  1. Figure out which kid got me sick.
  2. Blame it on the youngest, because it's usually him.
  3. Bitch about it for four days.
  4. Go on strike and make everyone else in the house do all of the housework.
  5. Give it to the next victim in the house.

Fuck those websites! Go purchase a box of plain Mucinex and a bottle of plain Robitussin. Read the label and get back with me! I am a Nurse. Trust me!

Ah, ok. I was referring to this Rubitussin: https://www.robitussin.com/products/12-h...ugh-relief ..it's Dextormethorphan. I thought this was the original Rubi, but I guess not.

Anyway, that's^ the one I was referring to when I said I use Tessalon for cough supression because "Rubitussin doesnt do shit."

The Mucinex D I just take for draining mucus and decongestion, not cough.

Guaifenesin / Robitussin is a mucolytic. Thins mucous membranes. Thins mucous membranes in the vagina also. Look it up!

Lol, I know, that's why I said I take Mucinex when I have a cold to help me drain. And yeah, I've taken it for fertility purposes as well.
