According to this.
So its not like it tries to hide that you have to be miserable "atleast to some extent" to believe in it. Not to say you cant be happy but mostly its not a hedonistic religion to say the least

The bible also says at one point that if you were too happy and successful in this life, you wouldn't be able to enter heaven. Which is all kinds of messed up.
