RE: Explain the Math - Must Be Rocket Scientist to Participate.
4 people ate exactly one bagel each.
Only 3 were eaten?

Since we're on the subject of bagels

Bill brought 5 bagels to the picnic

Phil brought 3 bagels to the picnic

Then Dill came along with no bagels. Bill and Phil decided to share equally so that all three ate the exact same amount of bagel

Since Dill isn't a freeloader he decided to pay Bill and Phil for the bagels they shared

He paid a total of $8

How much money did Bill get and how much money did Phil get?

Wtf has happened to this thread??  From the title, I thought it would be some nice little maths puzzlers, and now you lot are yammering about people eating beagles!!  I understand that in some cultures, dog meat is a staple, but I simply cannot condone the use of beagles for food.  They're wonderful little dogs - smart, loyal, good companions, and you people are serving them up as if they don't matter any more than a packet of crisps.

You disgust me.

Way too easy for us smart atheists. Perhaps you should've posted this at a Christian forum instead.
