don't trust on wiki. AKP is not uniform but their leading elite were in milli görüş (national view) movement. They claim to be changed. But their actions on their 8 year rule tells a different story. They tried to criminalize adultery but when people opposed it they withdraw. Alcohol is legal for ages above 18 but they're using bureaucracy to make it harder to renew or get a alcohol licence, and they just raised age restriction to 24 for events sponsored by alcholic beverages.
And the country is getting more islamic every day, not huge revolutionary changes but small details.

Well you can drink as much alcohol as you want, i just don't carry any empathy for alcohol drinkers loosing their booze
