RE: Hey guys what type of music do you like?
I haven't tried any drugs yet, but i am going to try to find some shrooms in nature if i acquire enough evidence where i feel comfortable in not dieing from any dangerous ones , but i think im to lazy to do any of that, but anyways if i find a legit drug dealer im going to get some shrooms i mean its really cheap but i don't go out a lot or have a social circle so i guess maybe i won't have my hands on psylocibin any time soon , im also only 19 , and i live in a village so there are not much going on around here other than nationalist old people that i don't feel like i belong a lot to any of their lifestyles , lol i might have schizoid ( it's symtoms describe me 9/10 ) because i don't like interracting with people in general to me it feels really unatural and awkward , shy and have a hard time with people. I am also closely related to people with mental illness. 1) my uncle , O.C.D 2) My mom hoarder O.C.D and definitelly paranoid. They aren't diagnosed but everyone that met them insists that they do. Also for me many music types do the trick, there are some that i really DON'T DON'T like but i try not to express fully my opinions since i don't want to disagree with anyone or get polarized for having different tastes but there are for sure some popular band trends that i really hate or ever understood but it seems that people associate themselves usually that goes along with a certain look but i really don't feel i belong to any of these and im really a minority in all of my points of view , i mean maybe that's why i don't got any friends lol  Deadpan

I grew Cubensis for about 3 years back in the day and it was a blast! I would recommend reading up on trip reports on Erowid.org to get an idea of the sorts of experiences you might have although nothing can truely prepare you. Look up Psilocybe Fanaticus method that is what I used and you can even find the race of Cubensis in some of the spore banks online. It takes about a month to yield mushrooms and a setup cost around 70 bucks.

Yeah, the thing about country is Sturgeon's Law really applies. 90% of the country you will hear is crap, but the remaining 10% (which includes the vast majority of Johnny Cash's music) is worth dying for.

A lot of the way I picked up an eclectic taste in music (especially in my early years) is through association. For instance, The Beatles counted Elvis as an influence (especially early on), and then you listen to Elvis' Sun sessions, and you listen to other artists on the same label, and you discover Johnny Cash and, oh look, you actually like some country music now.

It really helps if you start latching onto other artists who are similar to artists you already like. You like Elvis' more popular work, odds are, you'll like a lot of rockabilly, if you like rockabilly, odds are, you'll love Johnny Cash. Some other good gateways into country music would include Willie Nelson, Hank Williams, and also Nick Lowe's later works (yes, the "Cruel to be Kind" guy has, in more recent years, gravitated more towards country and also chanson, The Impossible Bird would be the best example; it's the source of "The Beast in Me" and, yes, he was Johnny Cash's stepson-in-law for 11 years.)

Okay, on second thought, maybe Lucinda Williams might be a better gateway into country than Hank Williams. The instrumentation sounds a lot closer to indie rock than typical Nashville.

Lately it's been the bluesy kind played on homemade guitars.

I have some LSD right now that would rock your fuckin' world, in the best way possible LOL. I took a trip a couple of weeks ago, as an effort in introspection and self-reflection... Outside of that I don't really want to get high anymore. It's a mostly empty pursuit.

If you do try psychedelics, please make sure your source is trustworthy, to the best of your ability, and by all means, use a field test kit like Bunk Police or DanceSafe if you plan to do something like LSD or MDMA. There are drugs out there like 25i that mimic the effects of LSD, but can actually be fatal in moderate to high doses... just please be safe.

I definitely don't recommend picking mushrooms unless you're experienced in identifying different fungi.

One thing to keep in mind is that hallucinogens can often exacerbate and amplify your ticks, idiosyncrasies and general state of mind... so don't trip on a day when you're down in the dumps or feeling unsure about having a session. Set and setting are key. However, this is a topic I could go on about for a while, so let's discuss it in another thread or via personal messages. I can't tell you where to find anything but I can give you safety tips and a bit of advice if you need it.

Drugs are something that I'm, unfortunately, very, very familiar with. I'm probably tried more drugs than you've even heard of... which is sort of sad. That's why I can say, with confidence, that getting fucked up is a mostly empty pursuit, at least for me. However, everyone is different and if you think you can benefit from use of psychedelics, do what you do, but be safe about it please!

Here's a good song to listen to while tripping, btw... The music will speak to you Smile

Shpongle is also great for tripping, cliche as it may be. Tool as well.

Thanks for the tip. I've definitely branched out more and more over the years, using that particular method, though without really being conscious of it.

What do you think of The White Buffalo? And yes, I discovered his music because of SOA Tongue

edit:

Also, Rev, I think you might appreciate Jesse Stewart:

I am rather partial to ancient Egyptian funeral dirges played in 3/4 time on an accordian with a kazoo accompaniment.

Oddly there isn't much available on 8 track.

Funeral dirges on accordions are a terrific idea - just thinking about it makes me want to die.

I haven't heard of White Buffalo or Jesse Stewart before this, but I'm liking what I hear, admittedly I'm more into White Buffalo than Jesse Stewart so far. Is it just me or am I detecting a bit of David Gray in that delivery?

Awesome. I’ve been using a cigar box guitar (tuned to DGBD) as my main instrument for over five years.

Yes, the Diddley Bow, kalimba, and the “Vaux” amp are all made by me. The pedals aren’t, but they are cheap, and the most expensive one cost $99 and over two months’ worth of time waiting for it to come.
