Other forums you belong to...

Not looking for names or links, just wondering what sort of other forums you frequent.  Are you on a car forum or music forum or some other hobby/professional group?

I belonged to a verbal abuse forum for several years that was run by an author.  It was mostly for people who were in romantic relationships that were verbally abusive though some of us were dealing more with the aftermath of growing up with verbally abusive parents (often followed by verbally abusive romantic relationships).  Now and then there was also domestic violence discussed but there are sites more designed to focus on that issue.

When I was diagnosed with breast cancer I checked out a couple forums as well as an in-person support group.  As someone who decided not to undergo chemo or radiation, I found that such support groups weren't helpful as most pressured me to do one or both.  

So, what other kinds of forums do you visit?

I work and carve wood, and belong to a few of those type forums. I work metal (principally copper, and a little iron), and belong to a couple of those forums. I have an old truck, and am a member of one forum for that. I'm also a member of a shooting forum, as I have a .22 rifle that I use for precision marksmanship shooting. And I'm a member of a few atheist forums, though I only post in 3 with any sort of regularity. In almost every instance, I use a different handle.

I had a conversation about star trek with a co worker the other day.

She said she'd hoped we lived in the star trek universe. I said I think we do. Just the one where Spock had the beard and moustache.

I gave up on the Star Trek universe after I yelled at a wall niche for twenty minutes and never did get my chicken sandwich.

Ten forums I regularly visit, split evenly between atheists and military history. That many more that I belong to but seldom visit.

I also frequent Atheist Discussions and Atheist Nexus. The latter has a chat room that used to be quite active, with 8-12 participants posting there each evening. Interest started to fall off a few years ago, however, and I'm lucky to find even one other member at a time there every couple of days.
