The defunded communities will have to fix their own perceived problems. The fix will probably be a painful process as they figure out what they want for law enforcement.

Things are tilting too far the other way, and the shit will be very bad dating from this period.
I've asked repeatedly how many of us have been on police ride-a-longs (to let the police know we're watching them and to get to know the officers that may be required to risk their lives for us) and how many have been to their local version of police review boards (to let the city officials and the police brass know we care). Dud thuds were heard throughout the land.

Not been on a ride along (not sure why that matters). To be on our local review board you have to be appointed. I'm not political enough to be noticed, let alone appointed.
I didn't say I wanted to fix things cause I don't have a horse in that race. Where I live we don't have a policing problem,....... yet.
