Um no, I am so sick of "its nature", it does not matter how a fire starts, be it lightening or arson, today BECAUSE of climate change, no matter how a fire starts the long term conditions make fires easier to spread.

Just like one is more likely to die in a house fire if you don't have smoke detectors.

Lightening has also started major fires not just in America , but Australia. So I could give a fuck less if someone's fucking lead to a boy or girl, the end result is that they still lead to a wildfire.

Humans are contributing to weather extremes.

Whatta ignorant cunt.

Do you know that many conifers evolved NEEDING wildfire to.get seeded?

Why ?

Because wildfires have been around a fuck of a lot longer that petrochemicals.

The California fires have far less to do with climate change - and more to do with idiot regulation and heavy population growth...

Good point. I’d forgotten that drought and high winds didn’t exist before the Industrial Revolution.

You sound like a Republican.

Burning fossil fuels by humans is going beyond what the planet naturally absorbs. We are pouring gas on the fire.

And you blame the fossil fuel industry for that? I guess you’ll be buying a bicycle to replace all those cab rides and will soon be fitting out your house with solar panels.

Sigh

Petrochemical burning has made forest fires worst by altering the climate . Thus climate change is linked to increased in severity of forest fires

And your calling someone else ignorant ?

It's not question of blame it's a fact burning fossil fuels effects the severity and frequency of forest fires . Weather or not Brian buys a bike or installs solar panels is a non factor really .

I don;t know if anyone here is aware that by far the worst forest fires ever truly directly caused by Humans Were set by humans long before the petroleum age.

It was set by the native north Americans literally to turn the american East cost Midwest from a forest covered land to open grass land or open forest with no undergrowth over a period of a thousand years.   They intentionally set fire to literally millions of acres From New England to the Midwest EVERY Year for many centuries, starting around 4th century AD, and didn’t stop until small pox wiped out 95% of their population in the Two centuries between when the spanish arrived at the Caribbean and when English and French settlers arrived at the Mississippi.

There is increasing evidence their pyromaniacs activity had a major influence on world climate between 400s and 1500s.

Well, ya know Trump did suggest a while back that California wouldn't have forest fires if they would just rake the forests.  Those pesky leaves and needles falling off the trees and drying into kindling and all.

I assume you and he went to the same college.

When do we start blaming Jeff Bezos for the west coast fires?  I don't want to miss that.

I think he retired.

Or, he's crying in a corner over those boneheads who started a huge fire with their gender reveal explosives.
