I doubt that Trump will give a rat's ass about that ad.  What in his history would make anyone think he was impressed by saving lives.

Even if Trump had never run, the GOP has proven over decades that they are only good at pandering to our military but not actually caring about them. Recent polls have changed and more and more military are not supporting the orange turd. 

Trump's polls in 16 have tanked in multiple categories compared to now. 

I think the shift in military service people now will get to him. He isn't thinking of this as a moral lacking on his part, but a strategic loss in a long time reliable demographic for the party that put him in office.

He's the worst possible client, for sure.  No matter how carefully the message has been crafted and no matter how well they've all stuck to the line and kept him under control, an even though they desperately require the maintenance of such and such..... he could start riffing at a hate rally and blow the whole thing to pieces in a single sentence.

I wasn't aware he could speak in actual sentences.

I must've missed the memo. I was under the impression that no one cared what easily disprovable lies Trump spouts, but rather the implications of his speech that reaches his zombies. Do people even care if Trump reacts badly to this? Trump's reaction doesn't really matter, IMO. What does matter is if this ad is able to use some necromancy to resurrect some of those zombies back to life.

The great man demanded ad buys in return that bled his campaign coffers, already riddled with grift - to no effect. That's what mattered, that's what the lincoln project did.

I think that you might want to write those zombies off. They're not getable. The lincoln project is trolling the president, specifically.

You know, I'm so näive that I can't get myself to think that it merely was a money thing. Belief in collective human action, compassion, and all that jazz.

Well, right off the bat the lincoln project is a professional organization of dirtballs who created the tightly wound bundle of crazy that is the american right through their work on previous republican campaigns.

That wasn't what I meant though .... they are making alot of money from it - very generously compensated...but they do have some experience™ with the sorts of messaging that right wing voters respond to - and the threat of erosion or demoralization of the base combined with the hilariously petty nature of the president means that they can try and use that to get the trump campaign to blow money pushing back against that messaging, which, if they did and succeeded at, would still cut into their focus on democratic messaging from the biden campaign.

Turns out trumps own campaign staffers were robbing the org blind already, so the only practical takeaway from the lincoln project is how they keep making the old man yell at the tv.
