The Ownership of Science
RE: The Ownership of Science
Look at how the catholic church claims to help children while pedophile priests run amok.

There’s a huge, glaring difference between ‘helps children’ and ‘claims to help children’.

Edit: Just found this:

Quote:Although it was named after Thomas's patron Saint, St. Jude is not a Catholic hospital and is a secular institution not affiliated with any religious organization.

I find it troubling and clear evidence that medical science has gone too far in reducing infant mortality.

Science is poop. A real man (or woman) comes up with his (or her) own system for explaining the universe and the meaning of human lives. Anything else is extraneous and stupid.

Yeah, let's see how you feel about that if you or one of your loved ones gets cancer, needs organ transplant, emergency surgery. I'm sure you will be begging for the most advanced scientifically based medical treatment.

Sorry, but there is no such things as each of having our 'own truth'. Reality does not change because people have different beliefs.

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

Simple, he will just pray or will it away.  Irrational minds don't look or even need confirmation of their beliefs.  They just go with the flow and rationalize anything that doesn't fit their warped view of reality.  If it happens, it was meant to be.  If it doesn't, it wasn't meant to be.  No need to reason.

I have two daughters in their 20's.  Neither of them say anything nearly as stupid as Ahriman.
