I don't want the nose of government agents to invade my work.
You see, the simple checkmark you check before joining a website or activating a software, is a list of conditions that you "consent" on.

The U.N fuck wants us to consent on allowing the nose of government agents to sniff our work and projects constantly.

Tomorrow, spying will be "official investigation authorized by the U.N".
1984 stuff in the real world.

These psychopaths must be ousted.
Real world 1984 stuff...like...ai face recognition tied into a comprehensive video surveillance infrastructure?

You're absolutely right.  If you absorbed the message of 1984, you certainly wouldn't want anyone looking into maybe making that illegal.   Wacky

I'm suddenly less worried about the rise of the machines.

Over and around all of the above nonsense, I'm with Adam Connover on AI as it currently stands. It's not artificial intelligence, it's actual intelligence - borrowed from actual people. Every company wants to sell it to us, because it's a way to sell the services of people without paying people for those services. If chatbots or their owners were bound by the same laws that people are, they'd owe alot of royalties and/or be in court until the day they died or were unplugged. Corporate lobbies fight ai regulation because it's a yet another fucking wage theft wealth transfer scheme. When AI fucks up and..say..breaks a hate speech law or doles out fatal "medical advice"... it's nobodies fault, just a glitch. When AI takes your labor and spits it back at you for profit, however, it's certainly the other guys property.

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

It's official: UN are mere hired pigs.
When were they hijacked?

How does a wish to looking into the feasibility of possibly potentially regulating artificial intelligence equate to world domination?

Boru

Because it means governments are sticking their noses in everything, soon enough their will be no freedom to do anything.

Every website you use that has an "agent ready to answer your requests 24/7" is using A.I.
In our industry it's called "auto response-bot".

I bet many of this forum's members are bots too.

So it's world domination. Every A.I auto response bot will be the "Trojan horse" of malicious organizations like the CIA that penetrates the U.N.

Soft power, they call it. Fuckers.

You’re aware that the UN is not a government, right? It has no power to pass laws in any nation, its officials are not elected, and member states (bar signatories to treaties and agreements) are not obligated to do what the UN says.

Oh, sweet Jebus, not THIS again…

As for the rest of your post, I’m confused. You seem terrified of the potential for AI to be abused, and terrified of a proposal aimed at making sure that abuse doesn’t happen.

Their laws and policies give something very valuable though: "credibility; authenticity".
A condemnation from them makes a person "a terrorist or not".

It's supposed to a "biased" organization that doesn't bend to the will of anybody.
But all that is changing. Especially with situations like "condemning MBS, or Assad, or the U.S terrorism in Iraq, or the utilization of terrorists like Black Water by the U.S in Iraq and Afghanistan".

Probably them snapping against AI is because of a political interest the U.S has. The U.S is afraid of AI being used against it by Gog Magog (China and Russia).

I know from experience that Chinese bots roam the web. Just download a Chess game and see the bots for yourself.

They wouldn't pass a U.N law about A.I if I was crazy Panic .
I smell fear from A.I and using it against the interest of the country's benefiting from the UN.

All this is trying desperately to control the technology before shit hits the fan against their interests.

Or you think the Russians hijacking the U.S elections and generating millions of twitter bots was a coincidence?
