What is God?

What is God?
There can exist certain definitions of 'god' such that anyone is forced to admit that 'god' exists.

A trivial example: 'god' as a concept.

What do you generally accept as god for the purposes of discussion?

An immaterial being? Has self awareness and intelligence? The creator of somethings? The creator of all things?
All powerful? All good? All knowing?

Or to go in the opposite direction: if a being is not all powerful, not all good, not all knowing, can such a being be rightfully called 'god'?

If humans would seem as gods to ants, would beings of comparable or greater intelligence and ability gap, yet lacking infinite attributes be fair to call 'gods'?

RE: What is God?
God is not a concept, or an idea, but a Person. He is not defined by the attributes that He has, but they are defined by Who He is. The question "What is God" assumes that there are attributes which can be abstracted and separated from His nature. The question should be "Who is God?" or "What is God's identity?"

It is like asking the question "What is "FadingW" as a concept?" It is a category error - you are not a concept, but a Person.

That was an interesting monologue for an entity you can't even prove the existence of.

I don't believe in an "entity", but thank you for the comment.

What is God?

God is essentially The highest degree of consciousness. God is a Creative Brane which is self aware and is the Force and power which generates existences. God arises within creation as Man, the highest expression of man is God.

These views are both necessary in Science and explain the core tenets of many of the worlds religious beliefs.

No, you believe in an idea construct the purpose of which is to keep the gullible masses in their place and the elite in their positions of privilege.

What is god?

God is nothing but a concept. There is no such thing as a god outside the minds of man. It is nothing but an imagination. Man created god, not the other way round.
A crazy imaginary friend for adults who are afraid of the dark.
Sad, pitiful, deluded fools. (In my opinion)Tongue
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

I tried to remove my kudos but couldn't (something wrong with my computer?)..

Where I disagree with your post:

God is a concept unless you have evidence otherwise..

Where I agree with your post:

However, the concept is best queried in terms of "who" for religious people because that is how the concept is formed in their minds..
