Atheism is impossible, I don't see how life can be created naturalistically.

Christianity: The belief that some cosmic Jewish Zombie can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree.

Makes perfect sense.

nicholas5000, if you're going to quote self-proclaimed preacher Dave Black please cite or reference him.

Not sure why you'd ever bring his trash talk in here or what you want to accomplish with it though, the dumbest of atheists are smarter than him. I'd rather like to hear what *you* think personally. Please share with us *your* thoughts.

I'd love to see your Bayesian analysis of this... That is provided of course that you didn't pull that probability our of your ass.

Yawn Nicholas, these are tired and busted arguments already refuted on here. Tell me you think the universe is ordered, complex and designed; but what would a disordered, chaotic and undesigned universe look like?

Would it look like one where stars blew up, ran out of fuel, would galaxies collide, would asteroids hit planetary bodies, would black holes form sucking up giant parts of the universe. What would disorder look like to you?

Honestly, I prefer the post and run when people say something so brutally ignorant. Better than having to watch them claim the same thing over...and over.....and over......and over......
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Hey! You stole StatlerWaldorf's sig! And it's a poorly constructed strawman, btw.

Quote:Something can't come from nothing.

I agree! But isn't that YOUR position? That some magical man created the universe and everything in it out of nothing? Because I've never seen an atheist claim that the universe came from nothing.

Quote:Look at the complexity and design of the vast universe we live in, do you think this all happened by chance?

All the things necessary for life were available on this planet (abundant water, an atmosphere, a source of light and heat that wasn't too close or too far away, etc...). Why are people surprised that life would arise when everything needed for it is there?

Quote:"Atheism is so senseless. When I look at the solar system, I see the earth at the right distance from the sun to receive the proper amounts of heat and light. This did not happen by chance."- Sir Isaac Newton

Even if Newton said this, so what?

Quote:I don't know for sure that a creator exists, but I think it is likely, over 50 percent at least.

I think it's over 50% likely that you're a brainwashed religious zealot who has been indoctrinated to believe this bullshit since you were a kid.
Science flies us to the moon and stars. Religion flies us into buildings.

God allowed 200,000 people to die in an earthquake. So what makes you think he cares about YOUR problems?
