If it's consensual, even between you and your hand, it's perfectly OK. The whole sex addict hype has been thrown out the window by most psychologists anyway.

Long ago I was rather enamored of helping a boyfriend weather his brutal hangovers. Yeah, I was naive. I had little experience with alcoholics at the time (boy, did that concern get addressed!) and didn't perceive 'Steve' as having a problem. Or that I was incipient myself. The sex was lousy and 'Steve' I realize now was having blackouts and I didn't need (and could not help) that kind of project.

In general, a behavior becomes a disorder when it adversely affects the exhibitor's quality of life to such an extent that he or she voluntarily seeks help to change it. The only disorders that don't require this voluntary, help-seeking step are ones where the disorder is such that it presents great danger to others and/or precludes the person from seeking help or even realizing they need it (antisocial disorder, aka sociopathy, is the first example that springs to mind).

For sex, a person might seek help if their need for activity has damaged one or more relationships or if they feel compelled to have sex so often that it becomes injurious to them and/or their partners.

Basically, if you like having lots of sex and are mostly happy to do so, you have a high sex drive. If you have sex so much that you hate it and hate yourself but you still can't stop, you're addicted.

When the act becomes a compulsion, and usually causes physical withdrawals. That's what I'd consider an Addiction.

I'm not sure you can have physical withdrawal from sex. But then again I'm new to the whole sex thing so I'm still not sure.
