For gay adoption I say two mommies are better than no mommy, and two dads are better than no dad. I'm fortunate enough to have both of my parents but I imagine orphans would rather have two parents of the same sex than none at all.

Should we stop black people from adopting children in certain racist areas because the child would get ridiculed for having black parents? Or the same for parents who are in any way disabled?
For. Observing the animal kingdom, gay adoption is part of the natural order. Psychology studies have shown that gay parents are every bit as capable as their hetero counterparts. There's no logical reason to deny them the right. Neither can there be a theological one, since, if God exists and gay adoption is part of the natural order, then it must be by Its design.
The regulars here have already heard my argument that homosexuality (specifically gay adoption) prove Nature's God. For those not familiar, here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQJWjYZLEcs

For. In fact I have a bisexual ex-girlfriend that is trying to adopt right now. She's in a monogamous lesbian relationship right now & we are still good friends.

Also, I don't think it's good for a child's psychology if they have straight, abusive parents or straight, or straight parents that have affairs. Straight parents screw with kids psychology, too. The sexual orientation doesn't matter. It's the people that matter. Eeyore Wrote:Thanks for noticing.
A person's sexual orientation should have no more effect over whether they can adopt than their eye colour or what their favourite flavour of Dorito is. All that should matter is whether they are fit to be a parent or not.

Factors that negatively affect children are almost always tied to various forms of abuse and neglect. Quote:If I put myself in the child's shoes for just one moment, I would not like to have gay parents.I wouldn't want to have religious parents, but that doesn't mean I'm against religious individuals adopting. I can't say I follow your logic on this.

Voted "against" mainly because I'm feeling ornery today.
somewhere once my boyfriend read an article about an idea that gays still exist because they are like "super uncles" since they have no kids of their own they help take care of their other families kids. I don't know any details. but I feel it goes along with what Paladin was saying.
