Atheism the unscientific belief (part one, two, and three)
RE: Atheism. The UNscientific belief (part two)
That is not a tenant of atheism.

If you think what one atheist says applies to all atheists, then you're further gone than I thought.

Your last try is over with.

Your claim is that atheism in general is a belief. Knowing nothing more about a person than they lack a belief, please show what belief they have.

The list of beliefs goes on and on.
The latest that the world can work without the existence of a God add up to so many other that i already pointed out in the past like........the consciousness is a product of the brain or......we got this consciousness thanks to previous generations and .......if God exist he wouldn't let people suffer or if God exist he must be
rubbish because he let people suffer and so on and on.
Beliefs after beliefs and you insist that atheism is not based on beliefs.
Are you serious Rob or you are under the influence of something?  Smile  Wink  Smile

I've pointed out why what you just said is wrong so many times I've lost count. You clearly don't listen to anyone so I'm done talking to you.

lol... Big Grin

You've been declaring victory from the very first post of this thread. And still - nobody's impressed, except you... Jerkoff

I'm sure in your screwed up little head your "arguments" make some sort of convoluted sense, but to the rest of us - it's like someone trying to spell fart noises. Cool

Be serious Rob.
Is not just that guy with the latest unfounded belief.
It is atheist after atheist that come up with unfounded beliefs.
Remember the old saying..........IF YOU KEEP SILENT IS LIKELY THAT YOU AGREE WITH WHAT WAS SAID.
So by not challenging atheists that come up with unfounded beliefs all other atheists are in error whether they agree with unfounded beliefs or do not challenge the unfounded belief.
You are done Rob.

I've never seen you speaking out against the atrocities in the Middle East, so by your own petard you must agree with them, you inhuman bastard.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

RE: Atheism. The UNscientific belief (part two)
of course every person has beliefs , as in every person believes a certain way to say that atheists are devoid of belief is not true its not true of any person with intelligence if you are able to think then you have beliefs atheists believe in many things they believe in science and the reality they see around them they have political beliefs and beliefs about well everything else , just like all other thinking people do , and concerning God they do not believe that God exists . I think rik what you are arguing is not that they have beliefs but that atheists have a "dogmatic" belief which is most often associated with religious theists and are ' attitudes that are not only based on unproved theories but are also arrogant in nature ' .....

the thing is that not all atheists are the same while you might find an atheist with a dogmatic belief system i think most atheists are very skeptical regarding all dogma . to assume that all people who do not believe in God (which is what atheism is simply a disbelief in God) are dogmatic in their beliefs of other things , in other beliefs , is not correct because not everyone within any group all think alike . a more realistic claim would be that ' some atheists have dogmatic beliefs ' and give the reasons why and challenge those dogmatic beliefs thats youve noticed that some atheists have . ( the belief that all atheists think a certain way is actually a dogmatic belief ) humans have a tendency i think to label and make assumptions about people or groups of people but we should all make an effort to learn and grow and challenge our assumptions  Smile

You might want to look up "evidence of absence" and "absence of evidence", god falls under absence of evidence since since we can not proof his existence.
The world can work without the existence of a god, so why is he necessary?

Holy Santa.
First you say............god falls under absence of evidence since since we can not proof his existence..............and then you state that.........The world can work without the existence of a god........

Oh, my God you really smash one more contradictory statement especially in the face of your mate Rob that just few minutes ago was preaching the lack of evidence into believing that God exist.
You just state something so you must have the evidence that the ....world can work without the existence of a god.

Oh, my God i am all shaken.  Worship
If this is not a belief what is it?  Panic
How is that a contradiction?

We have yet to see the involvement of a god or see the need for the involvement of a god.
If a god does exist then he is most likely not related to any of the religions on earth.

I think I've been pretty generous with the chances to show how a lack of belief is a belief. Let's see if he makes use of this last one before I declare victory and run around naked through the streets carrying a welding torch.

I am afraid Rob that the one who declare victory is Little Rik.
Now that your mate stated his belief that .........the world can work without the existence of a god.......which of course is an unfounded statement and belief Little Rik got the evidence that atheism is based on beliefs.  Smile  Worship  Smile

Well then let me put it another way, there is no evidence that a god is needed for the world to work as of yet.
That would be my opinion, not belief.Unlike a belief, i can change my opinion (my opinion is that belief is part of the subconscious)
