So Review what we've learned so far.
Chapter 1 Identifies Evil, and what God does with evil people.

Chapter 2 Paul shows us by our actions 'sinners' do the same things evil people do. which makes evil not about severity of sin, but about love for one's sin. So Paul tells us not to judge evil people. Meaning we/sinners are not to act out against evil people.

Chapter 3 Paul tells the people at rome we do not have to convert to Judaism to be Christian. Then he shows by quoting the psalms that All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, even the most religious amongst us. That all need redemption.

Chapter 4 Says salvation is not a reward for following a specific religion or work. It is a gift that none of us can ever earn. This chapter shoots down the idea that one 'true church' doctrine trumps all others. This chapter puts the deciding of who is and is not Christian solely on the shoulders of Christ. It is not a title we earn or by by sitting in one build or another on sunday. Because again 'righteousness' is not based on following rules and laws any more. It is based on atonement offed only by Christ.
(which in of itself is the exact opposite many of you think is true of Christianity.)

Chapter 5 is a review of everything Paul told us up to this point and ties in how through one man (adam) sin brought death to all man kind (spiritual death/Hell) And through one man Jesus Christ God saved the world from Death/Hell is we want to be saved.

Chapter 6 Chapter 6 answeres the question, if we are no longer bound by the law is it ok to sin? (no) Because in order to be saved from our sins, we must love Christ/God with all that we are, and when we love someone that much we do not do things we know that will hurt them if at all we can help it. That we follow the law not as a matter of seeking salvation but as a thank you/show of respect to God. And if we are truly 'saved' we will earnestly want to try and live this way. Not as a mandate, but because we truly will want to.

James 2:8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.  

What are you attesting to?  Loving your neighbor as yourself as a thank you/show of respect to God?
