This is what make you S.P.E.C.I.A.L.
RE: This is what make you S.P.E.C.I.A.L.
I wish I knew how to do a screenshot on xbox... but the scale of this thing... It's not quite as tall as the screen, but it absolutely dwarfs the it and everything else at Starlight Drive-In. I still have six levels to build. Completely ran out of wood and steel.

I'm fairly certain my character is insane. Tongue

I want to build a casino inside this thing.

On the ground floor of mine I have six power armour stations.  Didn't move my armour there yet, since I fell asleep.

But when I build my stronghold on the island, whose name completely escapes me, it's going to be something like you describe.

I have 14k wood resources.  Hopefully it should be enough and, if the construction goes as I envision it, I'll be able to cross the island without touching the ground.

I have no idea how much wood and steel I've used so far, but it's a lot. 11x11 at the base, gonna be ten stories, the first four which have already been built, probably needed 75% of the resources, 25% to what's left.

The work's getting dangerous though, I've fallen to my death on more than one occasion.

I just moved all three of the buildings I had put on that lot - 1 large steel shack, and 2 large wood shacks. There may be enough room for as many as six large shacks if you really squeezed 'em in.

Isn't it awesome being able to build your own fortress of solitude?

It's going to be a fortress of getting-machinegunned-by-turrets if raiders fuck with me.

Yeah,
I want to do something similar.

One thing that pissed me off shortly after I started, I was building the resources I needed at Red Rocket when super mutants attacked, including a suicide.

All my turrets wiped out virtually the moment I'd finished setting them up!

I may have to rethink the planned dimensions.

Based on Evie's previous comment, I think there may be sufficient wood available.

Is there any way to farm wood?

I'd hope that a mutfruit tree should grow to a second stage, and then be harvestable. They could have done SO much more with all this stuff.

Also underestimated the sheer logistics of a monumental construction project.

The only suitable location I had found was the Starlight, which I had only developed enough to farm settlers. I have only a workbench, a couple of small generators, purifier, beacon, and a couple of lights. Which materials should I leave in Sanctuary? Fuck if I know! Take as much as me and Cods... I mean... Codsworth and I can carry. Which, BTW, ain't very fookin' much, so make a couple of trips.

I'd like this build to be at least as technologically improved as what I've built in Sanctuary, to wit - a generous amount of generator power to power an electrical grid that covers half of town and a good part of the riverbank to the left of the bridge, which is where my six very profitable industrial water purifiers are at. Have a shit-ton of agriculture going on.

I'd kind of like Starlight to be 100% windpowered.

I'm kind of stumped as to how to get my happy little settlers to find their beds inside instead of standing around like dumbfucks. Hello, there's a ladder. I don't dare build it any higher until I solve that problem. I may have to take it apart and make the entrance more accessible. That's going to blow my turret budget to cover.

Dumbfuck settlers. Why can't you dumb fucking dumbfucks path to your bed? If they don't start behaving, I might have to move *everything* inside my fortress and lock the fuckers out to work the fields and stand around like dumbfucks 24/7. I can scrap their shacks and beds and pitiful belongs for raw steel and wood. What the Sole Survivor giveth, it taketh away too. They can share the bed in the snackbar attic. Until I need cloth.

I'll get around to really improving the lots of the peasantry after I make a bit more progress on the massive monument to my character's ego.

Why are you carrying anything? Supply lines solve that problem don't they?

I built a big barracks on the bottom floor of my tower, and my guys spend about 90% of their time sleeping in those beds.
