Although you're welcome to talk to me about my beliefs, if you're rational.

One of my main goals in life, is to have as many true beliefs and as few false beliefs as possible. That is why these existential discussions are so important to me.

I think it is extremely important to have my internal representation of the world, map as closely as possible to reality. I believe there are well established, reliable methods that actually return results, that are able to determine truth from fiction.

If someone has a convincing case for the existence of a god or gods, I want to know about it. If you are not making any claims, or trying to convince anyone, then why else are you here?
I've said this before: I have a lot of respect for this view.

That being said I've also noticed your say things that contravene your stated goals. So that's something to deal with.

Beside that, I think before one makes a positive case for anything, ground must be cleared. We have to be on the same page so far as definitions, logic, arguments, evidence, etc.

Right now, to be perfectly honest we have a ton of atheists who don't even understand critical thinking.

Just a frank, factual observation. And I can prove it.

Oh, really?

Prove it.

I dare you.

I double dare you.

Faith is overrated.

In your case, I'd say everything is overrated.

That's your problem, you perceive yourself as holding some higher value over others in what you say. Every time you post, it always has to has this arrogant, righteous tone to it, that somehow we are all supposed to hold your words with the utmost respect.

I'll forgive anyone, I posted a MLK quote earlier that I stand by, hate can't drive hate out, only love can do that.

However, to be blunt, you haven't done shit. Stop acting like you've made this colossal change, and it's our fault for not seeing it. The fact that you respond with such hostility to someone who simply wants you to put words to action, just proves how self-entitled you see yourself, how dare anyone disagree, they must be wrong!

Your failure to stand by your words only lowers the amount of respect people will have for them. Which subsequently heightens your backlash and denial, constantly insisting that the lack of respect is nothing to do with anything you've personally said.

You've framed a thread that could be encouragement as a platform in which everyone's against you, hyper-focusing in on anyone who disagree's with you in the smallest amount, lacking the maturity to put your words to action and prove the people who question your motives wrong you instead decide to engage with every one of them before ever showing the change you promised in the first place. Empty promises. You lack self-awareness. That's this thread's downfall.
I appreciate the attempt at honest feedback.

And frankly I've more than out my words into action. I've responded evenhandedly to dozens of deeply offensive and uncharitable posts, in this thread and elsewhere.

And if you're going to tell me to put my words into action, you're going to have to recognize that it's already happened to a large degree.

That fact that you fail to notice this, I think, is a weakness of your response.
Putting words to action isn't to keep reinforcing this change by repetitively telling people you're going to change.

The fact that you think just by responding to people you have somehow demonstrated this action you speak of shows how little of a "change" you had in mind while originally making this thread.

A person who is going to change doesn't need to keep repeating this claim, they just do it.

It's almost laughable for you to classify just by posting on this thread, as a "Large Degree of change".

The funniest part, to me, is that even if just posting on the thread you made claiming to change, was evidence enough that you had in fact decided to act differently, then we've already established on this thread alone that you have not changed.

Oh my god you responded to people in disagreement? Did you really!? You poor thing, that must have been hard, how did you make it through considering the position of someone who doesn't agree? Wow, I can tell you've REALLY made a big change. Not only did you respond to people who didn't believe you, but you also responded to people who didn't believe you! Must have taken a lot of effort, time, and energy.
Which is better:
To die with ignorance, or to live with intelligence?

Truth doesn't accommodate to personal opinions.
The choice is yours.

The more questions you ask, the more you realize that disagreement is inevitable, and communication of this disagreement, irrelevant.

That's quite an assertion. How can you logically back it up?

Pointing to your character as reflected in your posts goes a long way.

You forget that change is not a one way street.
