Some people wouldn't know a dictatorship from a hole in the ground. Slandering the current adminstration is a tradition with the more hysterical political factions, however. People said the peacetime draft was going to make FDR the first fascist dictator of the US. Or was the first socialist dictator? Depended on how you hated, I think.

I think we ought to not assert gun related deaths wouldve happened without guns one way or another...we simply cannot know..
Plus if gun regulations bring down a tiny percentage of deaths no matter how small it's still lives saved, who knows that saved lifes could be you or one of your family..? Gun deaths are not related to carelessness to any statistically noticeable amount. Six out of ten are suicide, the remaining four are murders. Gun regulations -don't- bring deaths down, that's the elephant in the room.
The point of gun regulations is to bring down gun related deaths, not overall deaths the same way banning carcinogens in food is to bring down cancer through food -not overall cancer causations.
...right?

I'm glad to help you assuage your self-esteem issues ... bear in mind that I won't always be here, you'll probably want to find another way to feel good about yourself.

I have noticed that when there is an accidental shooting in someone's home, there is nearly always a gun involved. It may be too early to draw any conclusions, but I think it merits further research.

That depends..
Does the shooting take place in the bedroom? Then i'd know where you're coming from

The shooting usually takes place in the living room, next to the table where the gun is left loaded for little Jimmy to pick up.
In 99/100 of these cases, there was a gun.
But I have to consider this may not be causation, but due to a third factor.

It must be terrible living like that. You can't even call the cops. You couldn't hold any important political position.
Well there are people like myself that are sympathetic to your fears. I carry concealed so you won't have to feel fear if I'm around.

That was unconstitutional. I would defend my rights.
