You suspect it? I'd bet the house payment and toss my grandchildren into the pot for good measure. Not only is he incapable of arguing without resorting to analogy or metaphor, he also seems incapable of understanding the difference between good metaphors and apt analogies and bad ones. No problem with me with doing that Rob but actually there is a problem with you.  
The problem is that when i talk to kids with a limited brain capacity they wouldn't understand the message
unless i use metaphors or analogies.
