A few days ago, I started to get heart pain, I told my mother about it and how I said I wanted to go to a doctor. She said it was Jesus knocking on my heart. I asked my dad later and he said he thinks im fine. Now I am having some symptoms of cardiovascular disease like arm pain and jaw pain (granted it comes at random moments and its possible they are totally seperate events) but I am still scared about it and I cant do anything about it.

What can I do to convince my parents to let me check it out?

Go to a doctor on your own.

What? Go to an ER immediately. I'm not familiar with the American system, but far as I know they have to see you. If you have heart pain, or at least feel that way, it's no joking matter.

Call a cab or a friend, another adult willing to transport. Or take the car, fuck the permit. Go to a walk in clinic that's open. ER if you think it's necessary. Worst case, call 911. Maybe your parents will take you seriously then.

I don't know anything about you. But if you're a minor, your mother can probably be charged with child neglect too. Definitely go to an ER like abaris said.

Not everywhere, there are certain states that allow prayer instead of seeing a doctor. At least they don't prosecute for neglect if parents fail to see a doctor because of religious believes.

How old are you?

I'd suggest call 911 immediately. But if not that contact an adult, relative or teacher immediately. Don't wait around in this condition.

Was able to get her to consider, she said if it continues for a few more days she will take me.
