ROFLOL

You're so vain to think it's about you. You really think you're that important to me? I haven't made any threads about you and after I denied it you responded as though you fully accepted my answer because you're an insincere prick.

You do realize if I had actually made a negative thread about you I would be breaking The Rules of AF right?

I would like to point out that the backward rationalizing is epic with you,I'm taking on par with some of the most crazies I've ever had the blessing to meet. Do you even remember reality anymore? Hello Evie??? This is reality talking, do you remember me replying with a "haha" when you denied everything and started backward rationalizing to fit the narrative of the "nice guy"? How is replying with "haha" a "responded as though you fully accepted my answer"?
You're too deluded it's impossible, I'm so sad I can't put you on ignore, that's how annoying you are with your white Knighting, every now and then popping up and going "OMG GUISE POOL IS SUCH AZZHOLZZ". Geez dude, have some mercy on me, I can't even put you on ignore could you atleast have the courtesy to just not engage me?

I'll take it a step further and include single fathers just to be fair. Single parents are a general bad idea to began with. Not all but most are single parents leads to a lot of trouble in your life.  If your going to get involved with one, you need to uncover the real reason or reasons their single parents. If your not armed with that info, they can lye all they want on why they split up or divorced there partner. I've heard this as a rule of thumb on who have been there. Under any conditions do not, pay for anything involving this person. Until you have tested those waters properly, keep your wallet closed.

Oh and the rest of what you said was incorrect too.
I'm far from incorrect, for the record what I said is very proven point. I know a lot of single moms and dads are honest and will not scam you but, a lot will. For example, one tried to scam me once. I met her at a gas station, we exchanged numbers . we texted and talked for about four days. I called her to see if she wanted to get together for a drink and she asked me this question "I'd like too, but I need 20 dollars to pay for a baby sitter for my daughter." I never contacted her again. That's the problem with dating single parents, a question such as can I borrow money seems to always come up, most every story and experience I've read about this has happened.

That's interesting, because my favorite single mom (Heart), who isn't exactly swimming in the cash, lives three hours away, and despite my lack of transportation and money, makes it my way without asking me for a dime.

Oh, and MAN! $20??? Holy fuck, that's a scam that could really put you in the red!  Rolleyes

RE: What's the point in dating single mothers?
I have never asked a date for a dime for child care.

RE: What's the point in dating single mothers?
Oh lord. lol. I pay for everything for my kids. And my dates. I have had many people offer to pay my babysitter so I would go out with them...guys, girls, groups. I sometimes take them up on it. Who cares? I paid K's water bill on the way home from work once so he wouldn't have to drive across town. W and J kept my dogs when I went out of town to go wedding dress shopping with my sister (not the one on here), We all take turns paying Wh's phone bill because it's only $55 a month and we want to keep in touch with her. She doesn't have kids but she supports two siblings and a worthless mother.

Some of us date each other, some are just friends. The point is, we all pay for each other's stuff sometimes. It mostly evens out and when it doesn't we don't really care. If some random is asking you for money, maybe I'm just old fashioned but I think it's weird to date strangers.

If I knew her a bit better I would not have of minded. I only just met her four days prior days to her asking from me. If you ask me that's very rude to ask someone for money that soon.

Thing is, dude, you called it a "scam". You asked her on a date, and her answer, according to you(!), was that she would love to, but she'd need help paying for a babysitter. IMO, that's pretty damned straightforward. Scams aren't exactly known for being straightforward. The problem here is that you used a pretty heavy word to describe a pretty light situation, which only puts forth more bigotry against single parents, which you don't seem to mind doing. In your case, though, I see that this woman dodged a big bullet when you stopped responding to her.

These are people. They're not monsters; probably not even criminals most of the time, but you're willing to make them look that way for your own bias.

This. I work hard, so I can support my kids ON MY OWN (no child support. Zip. Nada) and so that if I want to take my girl out for a beer, I can say, "Come with me, babe. I gotchu." I don't need my girl's money. I'm self sufficient.

I'm aware these are people, it's the principle of the matter though. If you barely know a person and their already asking you for money, that's to me a major warning sign. If she just needed me to pick her up, that be a different story. It was not the case though, she was straight forward about yes, I give her credit in that regard. On the other hand though, it was not even a formal date. It was for a simple drink at a bar that was close by.
