I know what you're up to. Nobody told me. I've seen it. I think it's funny you don't know I know. It's cool, though. Not judging. High five!

Er...I didn't intentionally set out to destroy your manliness. I paid for the drinks later on, because dinner was fairly expensive; I thought I was being considerate.
Apparently, it bothered you enough to mope the rest of our little  "date". That was annoying, so yes, I decided to call it a night early.

Anyhow, I'm not really interested in getting to know you better at this point. Your pouting was a major-league turn-off.
You did give my mother hope, however; She was overjoyed that I went out. That should keep her from worrying for a good while, so I am thankful for that.

Have a nice life.

This made me throw a punch into the air and make a "yeah, man" face! A dude once told me it was offensive and demeaning that I paid for lunch. I get you. What gives?

I just like y'alls answers because it reminds me that there are other humans in league with me on the other side of this screen and they have lives, problems, and heart. So I'm just marking where I left off to catch up tomorrow when I get back to work and a computer.

You have to have nice full lips to pull off a pout. If you're Kate Middleton it's always going to turn into a duckface.

He never said there was a problem, but he got the strangest look on his face after he discovered I'd taken care the drink tab. He was very cool and distant after from that moment on. I even asked if I had offended him somehow, and he said no, no, no of course not.

He's a podiatrist. Maybe he was disappointed that I didn't wear open-toed shoes...who knows?  Big Grin
I know that he didn't clam up until I paid for the drinks, though. I honestly wasn't trying to make a statement when I did it; It seemed like a fair and considerate thing to do at the time.

Oh well, no great loss. I'm pretty certain he's a black Republican, so it never could've worked out, anyhow...lol.
I should've just "followed my heart" and kept my ass at home.
