Well, we don't have to. The option for equality is there, it simply takes sacrifice of solidarity. Sacrificing for others can be hard, especially when there's nothing in it for many or most of the ones who would have to do it.

I did not really expect it to happen but I wanted a discussion of the point. I got that. I'm reasonably content. Smile

I hike here in Northern CA quite a bit, and in the late spring and summer it's not uncommon to see topless women on the trails. It's all good.

Wouldn't it have been more productive if the discussion had taken place more in the general than the specific? It was the insinuations against the Staff that got people's backs up. All that achieved was to derail whatever point you were trying to make.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

My questions/requests and the decisions to choose sexism over equality are driven by their authority. My OP was appropriate.

Surely you're not suggesting that people with such an abundance of experience on an internet forum would be so thin skinned to get their backs up over a simple and polite question of authority. None of these people have that kind of insecurity issues. Or at least I've never seen it. YMMV
