They are the minimum, not the maximum. It doesn't mean we have to do everything anyone tells us to do. We discuss what is best. We can't just have people telling us what the rules should be.

If people still want to believe we didn't discuss it, then too bad.

That's the thing I don't get. The thread wasn't heated as far as I remember. Maybe I wasn't paying attention. I'll give a short playback from my perspective.

I laughed and made jokes- that was not well recieved

So I gave thoughtful honest responses that happened to not agree with the op- that was also not well recieved but I kept trying to show that I was more than willing to give her the serious response that she seemed to want.

Benny broke the rules- all hell broke loose with the accusations and nothing was civil after those.

I just can't see the mistreatment. Perhaps someone else attacked the OP visciously when I was off counting up ballots in the man nips referendum. I dunno.

We can and I am fine with recieving them but it doesn't mean we have to agree with them or make changes as a result.

I was a dick to her. But I don't feel particularly bad about it because I'm not a fan of false accusations, especially serious false accusations. When directed at my friends: I will get pissed.

Exactly, after the accusations it just no longer seems like a mistreatment. It's more of an expected reaction, IMO.
