I just lied to someone and I feel like shit about it even though they totally deserved it.

How's Everyone Feeling Right Meow?
|
Stir crazy. It's been going back and forth from 90deg to day-dark with torrential downpours. Looking forward to another trip to Alabama before I have to get back to real life.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
Kinda creeped out tbh
I'm not normally superstitious but this is just too fucking weird for me to just dismiss it like it's normal.

"Ironically like the nativist far-Right, which despises multiculturalism, but benefits from its ideas of difference to scapegoat the other and to promote its own white identity politics; these postmodernists, leftists, feminists and liberals also use multiculturalism, to side with the oppressor, by demanding respect and tolerance for oppression characterised as 'difference', no matter how intolerable." - Maryam Namazie RE: How's Everyone Feeling Right Meow?

The thought went along the lines of "they're the type of person I wouldn't give a shit if they got cancer". It was a disgusting low point of mine and I did regret thinking it after. Just... very creeped that it happens literally right after I thought that though.

A couple of weeks ago, a lifelong friend of mine and his wife lost their only child - their 22 year old son - in a tragic accident. I recently learned that his corneas were transplanted into two different patients, and as a result now have a chance at restored sight.
I guess you can say that I feel thankful that some good can come from tragedy. (July 25, 2016 at 4:54 pm)Yeauxleaux Wrote:(July 25, 2016 at 4:48 pm)Thena323 Wrote: Did I miss something? What's got you creeped? I'm pretty sure your thinking it had nothing to do with it, so if you don't regret thinking the same about healthy people there's nothing special about it. These thoughts are bad, understandably, but at the same time people have them all the time. I guess what I'm saying is there's no reason to beat yourself up about it, it's just an unhappy coincidence, is all. You can't control what you think about someone. You can only control your actions, in a sense. (July 25, 2016 at 4:54 pm)Yeauxleaux Wrote:(July 25, 2016 at 4:48 pm)Thena323 Wrote: Did I miss something? What's got you creeped? Ah...a case of the guilt creeps. Coincidence, is all. Don't feel bad about it. The cancer was happening in his/her body before a week ago. This. 1 in 3 people get cancer. Coincidence. Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???" RE: How's Everyone Feeling Right Meow?
