Anyway, a nice way to lighten the atmosphere in the thread. The late Warren Mitchell is a much-loved and highly missed actor who played racist Alf Garnett. Now, contrary, to what you might be thinking whilst you watch the clip, he may appear as a bigot, but in real-life, he managed to get to an elite university to study Physical chemistry. He was a labour voter too, so what you see in the clip is not real, just an act.

You're just clutching at silly irrelevant arguments now because I worded things differently from post to post, shame on me for not plagiarizing my own post word-for-word. Pettiness
Of course it matters. You are shifting the goalposts to suit your own argument when you are trying to say he is of mixed-race. However, in all sources, just as belle noted, he is classed as Hispanic and lived in an Hispanic area of the United States, therefore he isn't black by any stretch of the imagination. #Hispanicchinesekoreannativeamericanvietnamienlivesdonotmatterifyouareshotbyawhitecop.#
You're still ignoring the fact that the police didn't have his genealogy at hand, and because Hispanics can and do look black oftentimes, they reacted on the basis of stereotype hather than actual ethnicity.
Hopefully you won't continue to ignore that point.

That I agree with however, you cannot blame the white population for what is happening to the black population today. If there is economic inequality today, then get a job, but to get a job, you need an education, and to get an education, you want to have the desire to succeed. If you don't take that opportunity, then it is not the states fault, it is your families fault for not pushing you to do better instead of playing truant or whatever.
You act like education is free, at my wife's university tuition is currently $30,000 a semester.

So I jokingly say if it's racist that means this video represents black people as a race and I hope that isn't the case.
I don't get how someone couldn't see I'm being sarcastic, I thought it would be impossible.
That would mean I've never met a black people who could speak English well who didn't want to burn and loot buildings and how likely do you think that is?
The same people who think ALL white people are racist. They have the right to generalise.
None of that makes generalizations right. Climb down off'n your cross, Percy. No one's targeting you.

Own your words, or acknowledge that you misspoke. It really is that easy.
It's not often Huggy is right, but he's dead-on here.

He's completely wrong, nothing I said in that post was an example of racism.
The post also has nothing to do with my sarcasm in this thread.
And I own everything I said in that post and take none of it back.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.

So, if I am reading your message correctly, what you are trying to say that, if he had been someone who looks like Zimmerman (who is hispanic by all accounts), the police wouldn't have shot him if he had a gun, regardless if he had pointed one to their head. However, it he had been black, then he would have been shot, no questions asked?

Believe it or not, that $30,000 per semester is the same for everyone regardless of race, sexual preference, religious affiliation etc. That doesn't prove a thing. It is up to the parents to provide a stable background for the child to grow up in. It is the same for everyone. I grew up in a very rough part of Manchester until I was 7 years of age, until my parents had the bright idea of moving to a quiet town (in fact, it is so quiet that on the avenue, there were 40 semi-detached houses with loads of cars and you could hear a fly such as the quietness of the area. And you know what, it did me some good, to not mix with the bad crowd make some new friends. If you want a new life, it can be done, it just means hard work that is all. It is not easy huggy, by any stretch of the imagination, but if you want it, you will do your level best to make it to the top.

Being unwilling to acknowledge the difference between a protester and a rioter, might be though. Dismissing legitimate concerns, and maintaining that such concerns aren't worthy of being discussed or addressed until unreasonable, and often unrelated challenges/demands are met, is rather suspect.
Suggesting that you're somehow privy to knowledge or a formula that has allowed you to quantify group suffering, indicates that you may have some "issues" as well.
There is clearly a difference between what you care about and what I care about. I care about the world as a WHOLE, and not ONE race. Every country has suffering and as such, it needs to be brought to the attention of the world. Think back to how the Jewish were treated in Europe for the last 2,000 years, and compare that to how the lowest caste are treated. In the democratic world, the USA or UK for example, we all have the right to an education, we can eat with whomever we wish to eat with, we can marry whoever we wish to. In the caste system, it is a disgrace, where the lower castes don't have the right to an education, they are most often sent to prison for trivial matters, whereas someone from a higher caste would get off scott free. You see, that is the difference between you and me. I see the whole world, you only see the United States. Whatever goes on in the United States has no effect on those in the United Kingdom because we are more liberal than the Americans and the rednecks of this world. We embrace many cultures, we love cuisine that is proper cuisine, not McDos or BurgerKing or KFC. We have Islamic channels, Punjabi channels, Chinese channels that show us what we in the West are clearly missing. We have cinemas that show punjabi films, we have curry miles, in fact, we have everything that the rednecks don't have.
Jackie Cheung and Andy Lau are brilliant in this one:
Why not this guy
Or why not this late great singer:
Of course, according to you, I am culturally backward because I am white. Racist.
You actually have no clue as to what's important me or whether or not I think globally, douche. I take it you're probably just sore that I'm able to discuss this issue without being side-tracked by your constant red herrings. I'm addressing the specific issue as it pertains to the OP; that's a thoroughly common and and encouraged practice here. Get your head out of your ass.
And I don't think you're racist because you're white. I actually had no way of knowing that, until just now.
Because I can't actually see you...you do know that, right?
It's your comments over several threads that have lead me to that conclusion. Nothing else.
