Ecuador curbs Assange's internet to halt US election 'interference'
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-37699410

Quote:Ecuador has acknowledged it partly restricted internet access for WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, who is taking refuge at its London embassy.

It said Mr Assange had in recent weeks released material that could have an impact on the US presidential election.

Ecuador also said its move was not the result of pressure from Washington.

The US denied WikiLeaks accusations that it had asked Ecuador to stop the site publishing documents about presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

Transparency activist Julian Assange has sought asylum at London's Ecuadorean embassy since 2012 to avoid extradition to Sweden over sex assault allegations.

Has Trump trotted out Assange's victim to a debate yet ?
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Understandibly so if the one running the show is holed up in their embassy. They can't afford to be associated with political agitation. Not originating in one of their embassys, using their infrastructure. I'm pretty sure, things would look very differently if Assange had been allowed to leave the UK and actually was on Ecuadorian soil.

Assange is nothing but a shill. He doesn't care about transparency, or he'd have released those emails when he got them. It's not like he's carefully selecting them either--we got a fucking Risotto recipe. He's timing the release to try to effect the election. Of course most of them are a bunch of nothing. He's got a shit ton of stuff he'll probably never release because it doesn't go toward his agenda. Including stuff on Donald Trump.

If this is one of those weird heterosexual things I won't understand, maybe I'd better move on.

As it were, I was trying to be funny as wouldn't it make more sense for Hillary to bring her ??

She could stand in the background and hold her po-po area like Julian really hurt her or something . . .

It's not at all that, Wikileaks have an 'Ecuador' file they've committed to releasing on twitter:

https://twitter.com/wikileaks/status/787781046519693316

It was clearly in response to that. Yes they may have said it was about the US election, but the fact that Wikileaks intends to release something with sensitive information against them created a clear conflict of interest.

The WIN/Gallup End of Year Survey 2013 found the US was perceived to be the greatest threat to world peace by a huge margin, with 24% of respondents fearful of the US followed by: 8% for Pakistan, and 6% for China. This was followed by 5% each for: Afghanistan, Iran, Israel, North Korea. -LINK

"That's disgusting. There were clean athletes out there that have had their whole careers ruined by people like Lance Armstrong who just bended thoughts to fit their circumstances. He didn't look up cheating because he wanted to stop, he wanted to justify what he was doing and to keep that continuing on." - Nicole Cooke
