QFT. I laugh at him for a reason. He takes offense at you whenever you disagree with him so you may as well laugh at his shitty arguments.
It's been my experience that he's capable of sound reasoning and good discussion, but this particular example is obviously not in that category.

Destroyed the Christian Coalition? If he wins, he's going to hand them the Supreme Court for decades. Get ready for repeal of Roe vs. Wade, school-lead prayer in every classroom and the Ten Commandments in every courtroom.

You know, this is why discussion is fucking shite on this forum ^.
Instead of actually presenting your case and speaking to someone rationally you just laugh at them for having a different opinion.
You do sound pretty silly with that shit, Naps.

Too true. Mike Pence is his running mate. That's enough to convince me.

Hardly, dirty little secret, most -christians- don't have an interest in repealing roe v wade....similarly, most christians are as secular as you or I. The supreme court has been following the publics lead for some time. The one we currently have didn't valiantly strike out to enfranchise the lgbt community, of late..for example...they put it off until it could no longer be avoided on the hopes that they would never have to sully their robed magnificences. They didn't do shit until the weight of the swell was too much for them to ignore. Sure, the usual suspects threw down their protest opinions, but the outcome was a lock.
That's just a shared fantasy of trump and his lunatic base. What he thinks he needs to -tell- the loudest idios in the village to score their vote. Hey, he;s right about them..it;s just that they;re not right about him, us, or their fellow christians.
(more fun facts, the dems hav a "christian base" too..the black christian base, overwhelmingly dem voters. The christians, as a whole, not overwhelmingly repubs in any case, in some areas they are, but on th balance of the nation it;s pretty well split down the middle, no majority is statistically significant by reference to religion...even by the relatively loose standards of social science. Shouldn't surprise anyone, christians agree with each other on precious little...and the weight of demographics regarding the repub/dem split and majority religious status in this country leaves little room for there to -be- some overidingly christian position on abortion, school prayer, or anything else. We're a largely christian, particularly with respect to voters, nation that -does not- agree. The "christan base" is not now, nor has it ever been a monolithic voting bloc - that notion was political sleight of hand that stuck.)

1 is not absurd. It's fact. Yes he's a billionaire, but he doesn't represent the political elite like Hillary does.
The reality is Joe Bloggs who works down at the corner shop isn't going to be president. Trump however is the furthest thing away from the establishment American voters have, compared to the other candidate who has any chance. That's the point here.
Right, he's not political elite, he's just plain elite. The Elie of the elite.
It would be like if I needed my roof repaired, and there was only one contractor in town. They are known to overcharge, and they use cheap mats, but they do know how to fix a roof.
So, instead I chose to hire a guy who's knows nothing about roofs, has never so much as swung a hammer in his life, and has a reputation for burning any project he gets involved in to the ground, and leaving other people to clean up his mess.
Even if you think Clinton's email neglect is criminal and not just poor judgement compounded, she is undeniably a skilled politician, and the alternative is to hire an unskilled criminal.
That leads me to answer the op. The upside of Trump as pres, is that he'd be so incompetent at the job that Congress and the house could pretty much ignore him.

Oh so the govenment is bad m'kay so therefore let's pretend that Trump isn't the worst person to be in power within the government.
Makes perfect sense.

The positive case for Donald Trump in 10 points:
#1. Trump will make this a Christian Nation again. He will unite all Americans under one god, and kick out those heathen Muslims. Where in the constitution does it say that we have freedom to be Muslim? It doesn't specifically mention Islam, and clearly the founders didn't want Muslims or Atheists here. He'll also make abortion illegal, because women don't deserve bodily autonomy according to the bible.
#2. He will make the rich richer with his tax cuts. He'll toss the middle class and lower class scum a few bones--but don't worry, they'll be picking up the majority of the tax tab like they should thanks to his tariffs. He's good at fooling them into thinking he's working for them, and if you're rich there's nobody better to make you richer than Donald Trump. He's even got a Child Tax Deduction--yes, deduction not credit--which sounds like it'll help the lower and middle class. But really it'll help the wealthy because it's a deduction.
#3. Hillary Clinton doesn't represent women. Donald Trump on the other hand totally represents men. He's a fantastic role model for our children. If I had sons, I'd want them to grow up just as angry, orange, and loud mouthed as he is.
#4. Trump will defend traditional marriage--where a man can marry three different women, but a woman can't marry a woman and a man can't marry a man--because that's just icky. Plus God doesn't permit it. It's in the bible, and the bible is part of the constitution.
#5. He'll privatize education so that religious schools get federal funding, and public schools go under. Then we can get Trump University at the High School and Elementary School level. With all the great business alumni from Trump U, how can this possibly go wrong?
#6. He will get rid of Obamacare, which has made healthcare accessible to many of the people who don't deserve it because they're dregs on society.
#7. The Democrats will come for our guns! Obama took our guns away, and so will Hillary. We're finally number 1 in something in the world--mass shootings--let's not change that.
#8. Global Warming is a hoax. It snowed in Seattle. SO clearly the globe isn't warming at all. We can't try to be energy independent by focusing on green energy! Big oil might suffer. And so will big coal.
#9. We need a great big expensive wall on the Mexican borders, so demand for ladders and shovels to tunnel under go up.
#10. Trump is a great businessman. Tremendous at the business. So good that his business rating is a 19. Out of 10. Err, I forgot a 0. 19 out of 100. I'm bad with math, but that's a good score right?

I don't think this is right. I think the outcome was a lock only because of the makeup of the SCOTUS. Three women, Kennedy and Breyer are the reason why that decision went the way it did.
One more Scalia on that court, and it goes the other way. Two more Scalias, and you can guarantee that any case regarding women's reproductive rights, gay rights, gun laws, or religious 'liberty' will go a predictable way.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great
