A quick word on "Overwhelmingly Negative Influences"
RE: A quick word on "Overwhelmingly Negative Influences"
Min and Drich are, quite obviously, extremely different people. The reason people make the comparison is because Drich isn't all that polite to atheists and Min isn't all that polite to religious folk, though I would say that Min does not attack people who don't make absurd assertions, but I do often agree with him, so I might be biased. Holy fucking run-on sentence. What I'm saying is, I don't think people are saying they're alike. I think people are simply, and quite rightly, saying that if Drich were to go (which isn't even on the table, as far as I know) based on things he's said up until now, a lot of us, including Min (a forum favorite) would be on the chopping block based on the same criteria. Then again, she could have been saying they're one in the same. What do I know?

But again they work hard is twisting facts and reality so those charges fit, so why not let them have it?

On count one, I said I'd be willing to pray a whatever it takes prayer if they too would pray whatever it takes but simply warned them whatever it takes could mean their health wealth or friends or family maybe on the chopping block. And as an example I gave my AIDS scare and what it did to open my ears and heart. So someone ask you are going to pray we get AIDS? I said if you want me to pray whatever it takes yes. Then a 'mod' (who is now a red letter) blew this whole thing out of proportion daring me to pray that God give him aids

Then everything I said was lost except the 'drich wants us to get aids.'

Count 2 corporeal punishment= child abuse. I will indeed spank an ass that needs it and dare anyone to stop me in any situation. But again in depth spanking in not an uncontrolled way to beat your child. a proper spanking in conjunction with a full disclosure discussion with the child as to why he/she is getting their bottom tanned. and it never exceeds per-determined limits. But again with these hippy free range nut bags anything beside letting your children run a muck is abuse.

count 3 Then you know exactly what i had to say about rape, but you see how the narritive has changed.

Those who want to know the truth will seek to find it those who want to paint me as a bad guy do not need my permission to do so. If not for aids, rape and child abuse they would find someother 'moral high ground' to pretend to stand on.

If you chase them off of every perch of moral high ground then the start a witch hunt.

So I let them have their narrative. If I start chasing after trying to befriend everyone then they can lead me and what I say anywhere they want. So again I think it is a fair exchange. I keep the freedom to say anything I deem necessary, and they cluck and bock at me for not playing by chicken house rules.

That's what I figured.

While I don't agree with your views on all this, I can see how they got blown out of proportion and misrepresented.

And I do think you need to be more sensitive/connecting with how you communicate your views, but I've said that like a million times already lol.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Oh, my memory remembers stuff. Either way.

In an older thread Drich talked about how he got a positive AIDS test, prayed to god then the following tests came negative. Its all dandy, because false positives are a thing, but he went a step further and argued that if we got AIDS, atheists would then turn to god.

He also said that with children "spare the rod, spoil the child" as its in the bible.

Most recently there was the rape thread where he dismissed teatimony from women claiming to be raped with a Jerkoff emoticon and doubled down on that.

I could get links to all the threads, but I am on mobile sooo.... People can see it with their own eyes. Go to his profile and click "view all threads by this user". An eye opening experience.

See CL, Deep down Most of the Oldies know the base line truth so there is no point in trying to hash it all out again. When one of them gets froggy they will try and bait me into another discussion and we will undoubtly go over the whole thing in detail again...

Your assessment is correct. I am not saying they are one in the same.

You haven't had a proper stir-fry, I see.

Im sure she still has the recipe. If you ever take us up on the Orlando offer I will be glad to have her make some 'stir fry.'
Or ravioli that has been on high heat and boiled for like 4 hours (granted that was right after we got married like a decade + ago.) At that point i think they are call dumpl'ns.

Three days in Florida was enough for one lifetime, thanks.

It's not. He's admitted to praying for people to get cancer.

AIDs cancer it's all the same.. It's the whole breaking of the self suffency I don't need God barrier that is important. Again If you want to truly see the hand of God in your life, you need to be taken well past the limit of human intervention. This could be AIDS, Cancer, Kidnapped, Stranded, Stroke Heart Attack Plane Crash Something where Nothing Humanity can offer you will save you from your fate. You need to be made aware and feel then resign yourself to this fate. Meaning you know there is nothing humanly possible to be done....

Then Ask God.

When you are pulled from the ashes of what was your hopless life and know without question or doubt that you were beyond human intervention, and was healed/saved almost upon the asking... Yes then you see God.

This is a gift. A hard fought gift, but it a gift such as this transforms mere faith to unbreakable belief.

As for the rest, I wasn't involved in any of those other threads about aids or supposed child abuse. But I see how his position is being misrepresented when said "he thinks rape victims are liars", so I'm a bit skeptical on the others.

Did he say he's not against spanking or something? If so, that would be a far cry from saying he celebrates child abuse.

No, he actually did say he thought she was lying. And I would never accuse someone of celebrating child abuse if they just say they think spanking is ok. He posted a video where a mother videos as her son is about to be hit with a big wooden paddle by 2 employees at his school. It's disturbing to say the least but it's also how he went on to say that he thinks beatings are important for growth. Beatings...his word not mine. You can look it up for yourself it was his thread I think the title says something about America in it. I won't be surprised if you have excuses for him. I genuinely don't think he's some sort of monster. I'm simply presenting his behavior on this forum which I consider to be intentionally grotesque for shock factor because he's nothing but a massive troll.
You don't have to agree with me, but I stand by opinion that minimalist's behavior vs Drich's behavior is not remotely comparable.

And I am saying I disagree. Minimalist is rude but the worst he does is call someone stupid or tell them to blow Jesus out their ass. I don't think either one of them is much of a candidate for a ban though.

Sorry, sounds like fox hole prayer/belief. Fear based. Bargaining.

And when your/their ass isn't pulled from the fire, then what? No god?

No thanks. I don't fear death that much.
