You see I'm against the EU as it presents itself now. But I would never root for leaving it. For several reasons. One being that the EU needs to be reformed and not abolished and secondly because no country is an island in this day and age. Neither economically nor socially. The times when any country was self sufficient have long gone. And being alone makes it even easier for the ones in power to get away with everything. Such as May dreaming about leaving parts of the human rights convention behind. That will target british citizens first and foremost. Not the ones she's meeting at one of her country clubs, but John and Jill from the pub around the corner.

Nigel Farage and people like him have been campaigning for the UK to leave the EU for years. They obviously didn't take him seriously enough at the time but they could have reformed the EU ages ago to prevent this even happening in the first place. I somewhat agree that reforming and staying in it would be definitely be ideal. However I fear that they have left it far too late. Other countries may follow in our footsteps because, you know, nationalism and all that.
So yes, I'm against the current form of the EU as well but I very much doubt the higher-ups will ever get around to actually doing anything about it. It just seems like Britain is screwed either way to be honest with you.
Maybe I'm just cynical or something. Who knows? I've had enough of most politicians, that's for sure.

Aww your concern and caring is sweet.
I am indeed still on a super long waiting list.
If I don't have ASD then I can go ahead and finally get therapy.
if I do have ASD then I can go ahead and get specialized therapy.
I used to be on the low rate of DLA on top of my low rate ESA because I have difficulty travelling and going places because I can't picture things in my mind and my spacial awareness is not good.
When I got the form for PIP they added a "Because of a bad leg or bad back" on top of their having trouble getting around
Apparently we are entitled to benefits if we have disabilities in our body... unless that body part is a brain
But yeah the evidence so far seems to indicate that I am most likely autistic. I'm just high functioning hence my high verbal skillls and super awesome mayo powers and stuff.

You may be more proud of being British than Scottish.
I'm certainly more proud of being a European than British.
Think of it that way. I hope you can get the benefits you need, Alisdair. Strange that diseases of the brain are viewed as separate from the rest of the body. With my schizophrenia (I'm from the US) I didn't have too many problems getting benefits.
Some time ago I ran into freaky far right wing site that posted some stat like x% of Americans are on disability for mental health issues.
Apparently the proud conservatives thought the number was too much. Some even posted memes suggesting the mentally ill shouldn't be able to vote.

I have a lot of rethinking to do, and I have been slowly working on it. I recently stopped reading Breitbart entirely, so that would be one example.
I've found the world got less dramatic and conspiratorial ever since I quit my Reddit addiction. I've been able to finish several long standing projects with the newly freed time and I can keep my professional skills up with Lobsters.
Microcosms aren't intrinsically bad but ultimately may be detrimental to the user. Perhaps you made the right choice. Ultimately the decision to change the beat comes from within. Good luck!

I don't trust any of the assholes though. It doesn't matter to me whether they are a UK politician or an EU one, they are all the same regardless of so-called "parties". Do they care about the regular worker struggling to make ends meet, the unemployed or students? Well, maybe their kids who are enrolled in posh, expensive elite universities or the spoiled brats with top positions in daddy's company.
Even ol' Nigel more or less abandoned us. Instead of offering to help with Brexit in anyway whatsoever, he fucked off to the US to deliver speeches and dine on fancy meals with Trump. So much for caring about Britain and our citizens, eh?
We'll see how these "negotiations" go first before I make a decision. I'm cautious of both sides because they want nothing more than to shaft us. May as well lube up now because we're gonna get gangbanged. It's all fun and games posting memes and shitposting, but they don't give a fuck.

"Politics is a constant exercise in choosing the smallest, least spiky dildo to get fucked in the ass with" - Winston Churchill, probably.

That much should have been clear after he made his announcement of staying at the EU parliament - at the latest. After the guy said that his job is done and he wanted more time with his family. Still parking his ass there and costing tax payers a fortune every month.
You only have to scratch the surface of all these populous assholes just a little bit to see what they're made of. They're even worse than the regular politicians since they have nothing in terms of programs. Only slogans adressing one of two issues without talking about the possible consequences.

I'm just fed up with all of them, populist or not. They're all out of touch with the regular person. Granted, some are worse than others.

I rate Catholic priests higher than politicians. At least priests know the value of anal.
Whatever that means...
