I've worked out that you're not American now (so the question of whether Americans have perfect memories is still up in the air )... I didn't know they also said 'mum' instead of 'mom' in New Zealand. Is it the same in Australia?

I've never heard of them but they look/sound a bit like Christian Rock Music meets Bon Jovi from the early days. Tbh, it didn't sound that bad to me Definitely had a Bon Jovi feel to it going on.
