So I guess this thread is officially derailed.
I guess it wasn't serious anyway.

I believe whatever disputes humans have about who they are and guidance and good and evil, they should refer to God to judge and clarify.
Unfortunately, if you give everyone the benefit of the doubt, things become ultra confusing when they are trivially simple sometimes. For example if belief in God is good, than those who believe in him are most likely being honest about knowing him. While those who disbelief in him are dishonest about it.
If you take everyone claiming "honestly" this and that, everything will remain confusing because people deceive one another to the extent they deceive even their very selves.

Theists won't even try to explain even a little how they honestly know God exists, and that's because I'm pretty sure they don't have a clue if it's really God they've been feeling or not.
If it helps you sleep, maybe keep lying to yourself. If it bothers you, little doses of honesty here and there will help bring you away from your deceiving state of self.
I sleep fine, and I am not at all bothered because you have no clue what you're saying. You have to say this to make yourself feel better. It is you who is suffering from the cognitive dissonance.

Just . . . stop. Watching you try to reason is painful.

Yes, I have to agree. MysticKnight, the majority of what was supposed to be a light-hearted thread is now you arguing with people. Please stop.

If Atheists were honest to themselves, Theism as good righteous position would be dismissed. There would be no merit to faith. If belief in God was something like believing in a intelectual theory, it would not be linked to good and evil.
But isn't that the whole point? Atheists are constantly trying to convince there is no merit to faith as opposed to taking the issue of God existing or not existing seriously.
I been here a long time. You can put me on your ignore list. It doesn't bother me.
We are honest, we do dismiss theists, their -isms and their positions. There is no merit to religious faith.

The point is either it's that faith in God is a foundation of goodness and Atheists are dishonest, or is it trivial like believing in some theory that is correct, and Atheists are honest.
It's inconsistent and dishonest for Theists to hold that is a foundation of goodness to believe in God but then believe Atheists overall are honest about their disbelief. It's contradictory.
A contradiction I was in too long for no real reason but taking people for what they say.

If you're too dense or indoctrinated to understand how wrong that is on practically every level, I really don't know what else to say to you. It's sad to see a mind go to shit like this.
