Jesus, how old are you?  Inter-tribal quarrel or vs the cowboys?  And I thought I was a fossil.

I hear labour is the most painfull, can't testify for that, but I saw my wife 33 hours opening her legs. Yeah, she is a trooper.

Was that for conception or delivery?

Big Grin  You one nasty boy! My wife had a high hard labor over 24 hours long with out first son. If the human race depended on men having the babies, it would die out. You wouldn't get me having a baby twice, I can assure you. The next two were much quicker. FWIW, the impregnation process requires open legs for shorter periods, but for many iterations. How else to put in enough baby batter for the final product to be baked up?
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

If men had babies there would be an abortion clinic on every street corner!

My hyper extended knee hurt for a long time, over a year to heal.  But the intensity wasn't so bad really.  I'd say my one episode of depression was the most distressing thing I've experienced.  It wouldn't be as bad if it happened again but it was such a sharp departure from anything I'd ever experienced before and I had no idea if or when it would ever lift.

My wife had a baby without a spinal block, kidney stones and had her appendix burst.  Her vote goes to the kidney stones.

And we'd get a tax deduction and a rebate for every baby aborted.  Bet on it.

As far as physical pain, it would be childbirth. I had an epidural but only for the last hour or two. The only way I know how to describe it was it felt like being struck by lightning.

For emotional pain it would be having to tell people that someone passed away. In one instance, I had to tell a few family members that a close friend of the family committed suicide. Probably one of the worst days of my life.

Abortion would be a sacrament and birth control would be given away free in vending machines and bacon flavored.

My epidural worked well as far a pain relief was concerned. Did nothing to mask the strange, surreal sensation of my body stretching and then expelling an mini human being, though. I distinctly remember thinking to myself...

Wow. This should not be possible.

lol When I was about 7-8 months pregnant I remember thinking "There's a human being inside me". Definitely a surreal feeling.

RE: What has caused you the most pain?
I've had shitloads of pain in my life, but I have to agree with PaulPablo on toothaches being the worst.
I've had many weekends going crazy with it, waiting for the dentist to open up on Monday.
But the worst was in Arnhem land, couple of hours drive from Darwin, but the car was broken down.
Had to wait for a week to see a dentist. An aboriginal lady gave me some special wood filings to plug the hole which only helped mildly.
Last day I was sitting in a corner, rocking back and forth, groaning and crying, thinking about how I could knock myself without causing too much head trauma.
They stopped me from walking to Darwin, would've been dead from heat exhaustion by the next day if I'd tried.

I've also had a lot of mental pain having suffered from bouts of depression periodically in my youth.
But the worst was when my ex took my daughter away and I didn't see her for four months.
It ripped me apart.
I feel so sorry for people who've had to go through it for longer periods, like Joods.
You'd have to be a strong person to cope.
Unfortunately, mentally, I'm as weak as piss.

Emotional:  The death of my father. That was even worse than getting the news that Robert Downey, Jr was going to play Sherlock Holmes.  Twice.

Physical:  The year of physical therapy after being blown up (the blowing up bit didn't hurt - just a loud bang then waking up in hospital).

RE: What has caused you the most pain?
One time when i was 15 i was  hunting on a particularly cold morning(about minus 32c i would say)  with my brother on the tundra . And i fell through a  gap in the snow about 17 feet down and broke my ankle and my left  arm and had a awful gash in my side . And my brother was forced to go back 5 miles to the camp were the rest of our hunting group was  to get help . So i'm alone in the cold in agony  and bleeding (though i had slowed the bleeding down ) for about 4 hours and then the weather starts turning bad . And i'm starting to get dizzy from the blood loss and the cold is starting to eat through my clothes . And when it started to look like i might not be rescued .  The rest of our party came i was hoisted me up on a sled that was converted into a lift . I got some better first aid then was able to do on my own . Then we went back to the camp for  the night .And then in the morning we  trek our way back home .
Seek strength, not to be greater than my brother, but to fight my greatest enemy -- myself.
