RE: 22nd School Shooting this year
Back on topic....it hasn't taken long for the Gun Nuts and other assorted assholes to spring to life.

Quote:Conspiracy Theories Immediately Appear After Santa Fe School Shooting

Some inevitably claimed the Friday morning attack was a "false flag," while others rushed to conclusions about the suspect's motivations.

And while you are whining about doctors playing less golf, RR, why don't you apply the same rules to your scumbag president.  He plays so much golf he could be a specialist!

Have you ever noticed that it's generally white kids who shoot up schools?  Maybe they get nervous in a diverse setting?  It'll be interesting to research their family backgrounds for Jim Crow involvement.

I'll have to admit that you have quite the unique perspective on world events.
Every social issue in America revolves around white-black relationships.  It's just the way it is.

Nite gang.  It's been one shitty fucking day in Gun Nut Nation.

It's unclear if the shooting was at a school event or just in the vicinity of a graduation.  The dead and wounded are fully grown adults who were incapable of peaceful conflict resolution.

Just heard that some fuckwit in the Texas government (didn't catch who) blamed the shooting on too many doors.  Doors.

Christ in a cardigan, how do people not get this?

He's not wrong.  If you're looking for some practical short term solutions, making sure people are all entering through the door with the armed guard, rather than coming in some other door seems pretty reasonable.

Even if every gun in the US were rounded up and melted, it'd still be a good idea to limit the number of ways to access the school from a safety point of view.

I get you want to focus on getting rid of guns, but that doesn't seem imminent and knowing the US government if something is done, it will be something stupid rather than something that truly addresses the problem.  So putting all the eggs in that basket is probably misguided.

I'm not naïve enough to think the US will get shut of privately-owned firearms in the foreseeable future, I just want people to admit that the problem is the insanely easy access to firearms.  That's it, full stop.

And no, he isn't right. Guns are the problem, not doors.  Try to be less stupid.

Well, meanwhile a bunch of hooligans invaded their own team academy to 'give them advice' about the recent losses. No dead people, Bumps and bruisies, still, unnacceptable here in Portugal. truly a shame. For all people that enjoy sports. Perhaps if everyone had guns... /s

Limiting the means of access to a school leads to additional deaths in the case of a fire. Don't be stupid. Safety point of view my ass.
