My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

RE: My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
Jehovah witnesses have refuted trinity in the Bible and proven the Gospels as well as the old Testament testify to oneness of God. The translations of trinity are all misleading, you have to go back to what words mean and what they can be translated to originally.

Non-Monotheistic Christians, love their clergy more or as much as God. That is only reason why they cling to trinity.

Should be easy with most of you claiming to know exactly what Christians believe and how stupid they are to believe it. Go ahead...consider it a triple-dog dare. Lets stick with the most common concept found in the Apostle's Creed.

That's kind of the point really, we have not heard or seen a version of it that does not at some point rely on it being a 'mystery' in some way.
Sure you can define it theologically, but so what ? it still has to make some kind of sense to be believed.

My point is that these types of threads are really an asinine form of entertainment to those that regularly participate. There is no one in these first few pages really interested in the topic in order to learn more or clarify something they don't understand. Now will follow 8-10 pages of idiocy as people comment on something they can't even properly articulate as if they are saying something even worth the millivolt to light one pixel.

Go ahead, someone prove me wrong. Correctly articulate the doctrine of the Trinity--a key, mainstream Christian belief.

Even christians don't know "exactly" what christians believe. There is no single articulation of the doctrine of trinity for all of christianity.

I was raised United Pentecostal. Jesus is God. The name of the father, the son, and the holy ghost is Jesus. You baptize in the name of Jesus to receive the holy ghost. There is no trinity, there's just the one God, Jesus. Jesus created the universe, and Jesus became human to save humanity. Should I articulate the heresy of the trinity from the apostle's creed? Papist!

Though I should note, the apostle's creed (a good evangelical fundamentalist should be following the Bible, not some creed the papists came up with) doesn't actually define the trinity. It's compatible with old-school Christian Unitarian doctrine, because it doesn't state that Jesus and the Holy Spirit are God. For a 'Oneness' Christian, the whole thing is right out.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

And yes, him begging the father not to make him do it before the crucifixion, and asking why he was forsaken during it, are two great examples.

No He did not, on the Mount the night before Jesus said "not my will but your will Father." The man in Jesus was crying out on the cross because He was bearing the sin of all humanity when He said those words. Sorry but you are wrong again why not just simply read the Bible and find the truth.

He asked his father to let the cup pass from him. Ok, maybe not literally begging, but it was clear he didn't want to do it. And then apparently his dad couldn't even bear to watch what he was doing to his child.

I'm not sure what bearing the sins of the world is supposed to be, exactly. Does it mean he has loads of PTSD now? Apparently he's still supposed to have the wounds, which I'm sure is a bitch and a half.
