HDTV Now, for H did you say haitch or aitch? I only ask because it's something I've been gritting my teeth over for the past 10 years at least...  hock:

Aitch is the correct pronunciation for the letter H.
The best way to check is to simply look in a decent dictionary. You'll find aitch but not haitch Haitch is commonly used by Roman Catholics from Ireland but I'm not quite sure why

I always say 'aitch' never 'haitch' for some reason it irritates me when I hear people say 'haitch'...
I don't like it how you're basically putting the 'h' sound right in front of the capital 'H' sound.... Shouldn't 'h' sound like 'h' and 'H' sound like 'H'? Lol.... To me it seems like many put 'h' in front of 'H' :S ...If you know what I mean..? Leave 'H' alone...it doesn't want its lower-case vowel 'h' sound in front of itself too! leave it alone! Lol. EvF |
