The USS Theodore Roosevelt

RE: The USS Theodore Roosevelt
"Some of the sailors who recently tested positive had previously tested negative..." Ah, so they don't test them again after they test positive. Very interesting.

4069 person crew
678 positive COVID-19
10 hospitalizations
1 death

And it sounds like they are testing the crew everyday - some testing positive after having been negative:

Navy leadership took the steps after a number of sailors tested positive for the novel coronavirus even after their 14-day isolation period, three crew members told POLITICO. Some of the sailors who recently tested positive had previously tested negative, one Navy official said.

Navy leadership took no steps..until the captains plea for help was published.  The step they took when it was published, was to relieve him of command and talk shit to his crew about it.

I think that one of my nephews is on the TR. I'll ask my sister how things are going.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

I was on the Roosevelt in the late 80's, but not a full cruise - just ground crew for a training squadron teaching new pilots to land on a carrier, off the east coast.

Then you can probably understand, from one service member to another, why the only suspicious thing about this incident was the administration's reaction to it.

My bad, I thought that you believed that there was something suspicious about people getting sick on a boat, wondering whether it went to china, etc etc etc.

If you think that there's something off about this admin acting the way it did, well..join the club. OTOH, This admin being off is pretty much the new normal, isn't it? They were busy lying to the american public about things being just fine, under control. They didn't want the world to know that covid was ripping through an aircraft carrier while they played fiddle back home.

I think you are a little to quick to criticize the Trump Administration on everything, because you are a Democrat zealot. At best you are hoping that your guys can get control of the inadequate governing system and steer it in a corrupt manner. Your people describe Trump to be incapacitated, yet I have reviewed some of the recent Joe Biden recordings, and I see his behavior to be incoherent and absurd.

He started out challenging a couple of hecklers to do some push-ups??? Let's see Joe do some push-ups! Ill bet Trump will challenge him to this at the first debate. Let's see Joe do some push-ups!

The recording published on Friday had him bumbling some reference to War II????

I watched some of Trumps rallies, and I notice that he will jump from one topic to another without a recognizable inference, but I suspect that has to do with the teleprompter not aligned with his impromptu descriptions. His news briefings and speeches seem very coherent and reasonable - if he is lying as often as the pundits describe, then why doesn't the mechanism of the almighty constitution not adjudicate the situation??? I noticed the same thing with Obama, and Bush. Their speaking and news briefing were coherent, but lots of people said they were lying, and nothing seems to happen - haven't you noticed??

We went through the impeachment trial, and it was corrupt, right???

Well, what the fuck are we going to do - put Joe Biden in the White House!!!???

When the fuck are we going to put the smartest, most impeccable person in the world in the White House?!?!?!

I'm not a democrat at all. Swing and a miss.

Pretty sure I've already had occasion to tell you this, in exactly the same context. You, yelling at the clouds about joe biden..and bitching about dems, to me.

People living in an environment conducive to the rapid spreading of inectious diseases coming down with an inectious disease?

Why, that, that's UNPOSSIBLE sir!

No, he wants there to be something suspicious about people on a boat coming down with a respiratory illness.

He probably also want the Captain to be a registered D.
