Well thing is they intermarried and didnt discriminate people based upon skin colour in South American colonization interms of slaves. In USA it was more the case of not wanting anything to do with them. So its easier to see why Ghetto groups was more developed there.

They did and do discriminate and segregate. I get it, you see a bunch of brown people. Would it surprise you to know that they see glaring differences in their shared hue? In fact, here in the us, many people from c and s america think of themselves as white because that's what they thought of themselves and that's how they were regarded back home. They don't want anything to do with, and resent being confused with, those other non whites..also from back home.

This dynamic repeats itself between groups just as readily as it does within groups.

Ghettos spring up anywhere for all of the same reasons no matter the color of a persons skin. There are white ghettos in white cities as well, where conceptually sub white whites are segregated (and self segregate).

As far a intermarrying and intermingling and that being a difference...nah - one of the funnier things about genetic testing becoming widely available is that american white supremacists have clearly intermingled with lesser races..and many of the members of the lesser races look..for all the world, like whites. They identify as black or hispanic or any number of other things, they've lived an Ethnic Life™...with all that means in america, but if you were just looking at their 23andme results...

They're mostly master race...and sometimes more master race than white supremacists. Especially southern white supremacists.

I think problem with US view on it is, they do it out of purely profit. It exploits fears and emotions in people. So instead of being normal, they usually have a very fixated view on race than just living normal lives. Makes me glad i dont live in USA for that reason, having to think like this 24/7 would just bore me.

Ultimately, though, white supremacists here and anywhere else disseminate propaganda because they believe in it, are committed to it, and would do it for free. Most of them already do, obviously.

Meanwhile, their sickness-turned-indecency is the driving force behind why others cant live Normal Lives™ - if the barometer of a normal life is what a white supremacist expects from society as their white birthright. I agree that being constantly reminded of this reality is tedious...I suspect even more tedious for people who aren't the right shade of lipstick, with good hair. White supremacists aren't too fond of it either. They'd like to be free to do and say horrid and/or stupid shit without consequence or note.

I mean people who claim to be anti racists do the same thing. It has been a culture in USA since KKK was a thing. Its easy to exploit emotions for profit gains
Anti racism includes having organizations where you cant discriminate people at public or work place based upon skin colour, sexual orientation and what not, or that people discriminate people whom they hire etc instead of what they could be good at working.

The way media in USA works is to profit of emotions, and they tie race into a bigger deal than it should be.

Well, ofc that's the real problem...how could it be anything else? Turns out there is alot more money in workplaces and stores that can't discriminate. So there's that. It's a funny thing, seeing how different cultures can percieve different ethnicities in radically different ways. Fun fact, I recently read a book called Mister Pip. It was about the Bougainville Civil War. One of the biggest themes was racism and othering, like how, for instance, the Papua New Guinean forces that wrought havoc on the characters' lives were called Redskins, presumably because their skin was lighter. To get some perspective into this, I decided to try and look into what they looked like. So I'm going to do a challenge: one of these pictures has a group of Papuan girls (who, if they were men, would probably have been called Redskins on Bougainville), and the other a group of Bougainvillean girls. Can you tell which is which without trying to source the images? Because, as a white guy, I honestly can't.


And yet they both can see the difference and they both hate each other.
