Like schools.
And even then - it' s a good guy with a gun that stops the monsters. Cops can be the good guy with a gun......
They don' t stop because some liberal shit whines....
It takes some twisty thinking to blame anti-gun people for gun violence. Can’t say I’m not impressed.
Boru And yet it seems logical to you that the problem is we are lacking more laws......
It' s already illegal to murder other people.
You think making it really, really illegal to murder people will make a difference?

Of course not. But I DO think that fewer guns in the hands of people ill-suited to have them has a chance of reducing gun violence.

And how is running background checks on people who have passed background checks dozens or hundreds of times before an efficient or cost effective use of lawvenforcement resources???

I'm pacing myself. You're entirely too much stupid to finish in one go.

I didn’t say anything about background checks, but let’s run with that.
At 21, Joe passes his background check and buys his first gun. At 25, he passes a background check and buys another gun. At 29, he passes his third background check and buys his third gun. At 32, he beats his wife, gets convicted and spends a year in jail. At 33, he tries to buy a fourth gun, but his background check shows a DV conviction. Not only is he prevented from buying the gun, but the guns he already has are confiscated and his ‘right’ to own guns is suspended for 10 years. Poor old Joe now has to come up with another way to murder his ex-wife and her new boyfriend. Now multiply Joe’s situation by 1000.
I think that possibly preventing murders qualifies as ‘an efficient or cost effective use of law enforcement resources’.

And there is a reason you want to wait for him to buy another gun before confescating the ones he already has and restricting his ability to buy more?
Seems halfassed to me.
.......
I have no problem with adjudicating away a person' s right to own guns. I made that very clear in my plan -- SEVERAL times. I would be for tattooing "I am a problem child" on their foreheads - but "nice" society won' t go along. I would settle for a "NO GUNS" logo on their I.D. Make I.D. checks manditory for all sales - including private.
Making the gun owner who ISN'T a problem go through unending background checks is a waste of time.

Again, I don’t really give even the tiniest fuck about your minor inconveniences.

And apparently you don' t give the tiniest fuck that law enforcement is squandering time and money on a Groundhog Day plan of action.....
