An article from a guy who has written for you guessed it Russia Today and has consistently shown a Pro-Kremlin stance.

Bel seems desperate to dig up any source to back up his delusions that the only country that bares any responsibility for the war is the one that marched its troops across another nation's borders.

So guys Youtube video is evidence of nothing. I could find a Merc any opinion under the sun about the war. So nice try Bel

As I said. I don’t think it’s even his fault. Social media has changed the way politics are working all around the world. I have already mentioned how Donald Trump and Jair Bolsonaro could do the things they did thanks to masses that were basically hypnotized through social Media. I also mentioned the example of Victor Orban who is depicted as a hero in social media but is basically there to fill his own pockets and the pockets of people around him.

Now I found a nice article on Russia-backed social media operations that were used to drive French troops out of West Africa.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/russia-africa...14865.html

Explanation: French and German troops came to the Sahel Region in the 2010’s with the decision of President François Hollande and the demand by local governments who did not have the military capacity to drive out some terrorist groups who were threatening to take over some regional capitals (and establish some sort of “caliphate” on the Model of ISIL in the Levant). Hollande said that the reason for this decision was to “return a favor” to this reason from which many young man were incorporated into the French Army in WWI and WWII. Hollande also explained that he had no agenda on the predation of natural mining resources etc. in opposition with Wagner who wants to establish itself in the region with the aim of taking the ownership copper, lithium, iron mines etc.

Quote:Article: "Russian misinformation was a factor helping to drive the French forces out of Sahel countries, especially Burkina Faso," according to Ulf Laessing, from the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, a centre-right German think tank.

- So they just took the habit of creating troll armies to carry-out misinformation campaigns in order to take over any region they want. Or they feel like they are able to influence any group of people they want, especially the people who usually vote for right-wing or populist parties that they think will work for their interest. Like Victor Orban who still buys Russian fossil fuels and is blocking /together with someone) Sweden’s accession to NATO. Or someone like Georgia Meloni who is also working to make the task of French troops in West Africa impossible and is openly working for the former corrupt president Silvio Bernuscolli (Who had received a Cargo ful of Russian Vodka from Mr. Vladimir Putin). By the way: I also read that Donald Trump was invited (before his presidency) to Moscow by Putin and that he had been given a taste of the Moscovan Nights if you know what I am saying Smile

The Article is mentioning something called “Russosphere” A social media platform that diffuses Russia-friendly information only. And I am sure it is working wonders in a country where the education infrastructure is almost non-existent so it is very easy to influence people who hardly know how to even read and write.

This has little to do with Helios’s comment but I still want everyone to get the full picture Smile

That's true. It's also true of Hillary Clinton and Obama and Biden.

Yes, yes, bothsides. We all remember that time that b barry bamz did a coup. I think this brilliantly summarizes the tragedy that's befallen ukraine. Ukraine, even in a discussion about a war in ukraine, is mostly bounced back and forth as a sideshow to a trumpian drama playing out in the minds of the afflicted. Some bizarre fantasy where the people who are wholly against russias invasion of ukraine are only against that because they've been lied to about the great man....by the great mans enemies.

This really isn’t serious.

I didn’t even listen to the whole video.

So other example: Rabies has recently returned to my country and it is the first time maybe since the early 1970’s that children started dying from rabies once again. The UK is now warning it’s citizens who want to come to Turkey that there are heard of street dogs who are erring unattended in almost all villages and cities of my country. And this is true. No one is collecting and/or euthanizing street dogs anymore. They just let them live. And today everyone knows at least 5-10 people who have been bitten or seriously attacked by those animals and we are not some India or Africa like country. There was no such thing when I was in college (in the 2000’s). It was unthinkable.

So what happened?

- Social media happened. There are some people / organizations who collect money to “donate” dog-food + dog cabins to those poor herds of street dogs. Many of them are seen with fancy cars living in fancy neighborhoods etc. and the weak government is unable to undertake any legal action against those people who run “animal-rights organisations”.

And what made this possible is again: Social media. You can now browse on twitter with very nice people who are “helping the poor animals” giving them food, petting them touching them, hugging them (I’m talking of street dog with no owners). And they have managed to create a social movement so even government authorities and political parties are afraid to say anything about the collection and elimination by euthanasia of these “poor animal”. You can’t say that anywhere in social media in Turkey at the moment. You cannot say “I want these dogs (and cats) to be taken out of the street in order to be killed by euthanasia”. You can’t even begin to say anything like that. If you do social media trolls will attack you from every front. You will have to talk to absolute sophists and hypocrites and you will have to answer to arguments like “Should we also kill street people?” or “Streets are the natural habitat of street dogs” etc. And religion is another aspect because the social media based propaganda is claiming that “We must love street dogs for love of God” (and all of this is true) Smile

So again. Warning: It’s all over the place. It’s all over the world. Some people have learned to use the internet (which started in the 90’s as a ways of communicating all sorts of information, all of the time, to all parts of the world, without any limitation) as a way of promoting their own interest based or twisted political agendas. And that’s what Russia is trying to do everywhere in the world.

But I still think that this is only as powerful as their military equipment dating from the 80’s: I will only work on weak opponents.

But still: caution, caution, caution Smile

- No it's not. It was a plot on Hillary. She's is from a political family and she was in many ways a better candidate than this guy Mc-Donalds food loving guy who was mentioned in Nostradamus’s prophecies as "La Trompette"

The propaganda is working on you.

Here's an old joke:

American man: Why did you come to study in the US?

Chinese man: Because I wanted to learn about the most effective propaganda.

American man: But we don't have propaganda here.

Chinese man: Exactly.
