They didn’t find an ark because there was never an ark to find. Still and all, it’s a rock formation. Rock is famous for being a particularly bad material out of which to build boats.

A cubit is the distance from the elbow to the wrist, or to the knuckles, or to the finger tips, depending on where it's being used.
